Broke collar bone Wednesday nite

After I came home from work, I got on my skateboard and my son on his bike. Just a little dash up an down the street. Was kinda dark and didn't see the rock that just jammed up my wheel. I flew like superman, and landed like a drunk Batman on my right shoulder. I heard something snap, but didn't think much of it. The pain came after half an hour and made a run to the ER. A few xray's confirmed a busted up bone. This is my third bone that I've broken in my short life. Wondering if I'm getting to old for a skateboard. Worst part is that I can't do any hankypanky for a while!! Every little movement hurts like a bia. Can't even play with my RC. Typing with one finger takes forever.

Ouch get well soon, Learn to drive Rc with one hand.

Stephen Hawking mouth tube transmitter FTW

Bondonutz 10.16.2009 05:52 PM

Sorry to hear, heal quickly !

snellemin 10.16.2009 05:55 PM

I'm right handed and broke my right collar. I can't drive with my left hand for nothing. Mouth tube transmitter might be a good idea.

Get well soon...!

snellemin 10.16.2009 11:52 PM

I've broken my femur in two spots and busted up my ankle pretty good. But this little bone is killer. Constant pain that just rings in my ear. Painkiller just gets me dizzy.

Few more weeks and hopefully I'll get to mess around with my new motor.

The bad part with being a contractor, no work no pay.

BL_RV0 10.18.2009 02:10 PM

That sucks snell. Get well soon buddy!

snellemin 10.18.2009 02:31 PM

Thanks guys. I'm feeling better as of this morning. The swelling went down and getting more mobile.

Theres a local guy around here that race, with 1 arm. He kicks some ass too!! So don't give no excuses!

J57ltr 10.18.2009 10:44 PM

Damn man, why do you think I say "No thanks I'll take the zero" when you offer to let me ride that skateboard? I was hoping you wouldn't call to go racing since I spent the last 2 days cleaning out my garage (No really). When are you going back to work?

Skateboards are fun man. I could've gotten hurt mountain biking at memorial park instead. I did bend my fork once and, bend a few wheels, etc. Those trees are not nice at all

Gonna try to head out to work tomorrow and see what's up. I'm nearing the end of one last project.

Were too old for skateboards. How much roadrash did you pick up, and what painkillers did they give you? You mentioned ringing in the ears that might be a reaction, I have had that happen with Hyrdocodone (generic Vicodin) and Lortab. If your ears are ringing then you might want to talk to your Doc. Especially if your lips feel puffy or dry/hot.

Ringing was from the shoulder pain, but it's gone now. I can't get to the painkiller now, but I believe it's Vicodin.
