good lord,i though this thread was about an RC corr truck, but DAMN,that had to darn near break his neck, the wreck was atleast 80mph-0mph in like 15ft.--josh

BP-Revo 02.15.2010 03:53 PM

Wow...that looked brutal.

One thing I did notice was what the announcers were saying...

And, they seem to say this with ANY sport they are announcing for. They always say "this is the most XXXXX in all of motorsports."

They say that for this, monster jam, drag racing, supercross...

It get's SO damn annoying...anyone else notice?

lutach 02.15.2010 06:59 PM

I saw that one race live and it was awesome. I thought the driver was going to be hurt really bad, but it was nice to see him walking around. I'm telling you guys, the G forces on crash like that is incredible.

I know he was sore for a few days. I remember the crashes I had in my go-kart, my body would ache for days.

Bondonutz 02.15.2010 07:08 PM

Oh I hear ya there !
I had a shifter cart many years ago and had a real bad wreck w/3 other carts and rolled it once. I was very lucky with only some bad bruises and broke my left hand and wrist.
Other than my hand, my body hurt for weeks. It's only the sudden stops that hurt, LOL

Those were the good days for me . I got thrown out of my kart a few time, rolled a few times and almost broke my neck. Every time I got into my kart, I instantly got in the zone. It was an awesome feeling. Last time that happened was when I was 1 sec. off the indoor track record in Florida. The official record though was set by a kart racer with his own kart lol. The track owner invited me to go there a few more times, but I didn't. Being out of shape to drive a kart sucks .

Bondonutz 02.15.2010 08:08 PM

I had my own cart as well and drove in Orlando. That dam thing was so much fun !
After my wreck I did rebuild the cart and drove it a few more times but I think I was a little scared to push it like I used to. I eventually sold it and moved on to something safer.

DAMN YOU GUYS! I've been trying so hard to to buy one, but all this talk has me REALLY wanting one...I'd love to find a nice 250cc Superkart. 160mph in a go-kart. :mdr:

Those superkarts are amazing. I wish I had the 2 cylinder monster back in Brasil. I've been watching them and found some for sale, but time is something I really don't have. I would love to get one and take it to awesome NJ race facility. I'm thinking of getting a chassis to run in the IMSA Lites series, but I won't be using the normal I.C. set up . The only problem is that none of the companies that makes the chassis has answered my questions. Can the car go over 200mph? Can it handle 750 electric HP? So there's my problem.

A 2 cylinder? What kinda engine? There aren't to many I can think of to be honest...Except for snowmobiles...

Umm...over 200mph? 750hp? What the hell are you gonna strap to it?

I'll find the link for you. It's made in Europe and is just awesome for such a small packadge.

Yes, over 200mph and 750HP. I've been over 200mph a few times and it is fun when you have the proper car to do it in. The 750HP is the rating of the electric motor, but a more powerful unit can be built.

lutach 02.15.2010 09:54 PM

Found it: http://www.pvpkart.com/. Scroll down a bit and you'll see it.

squeeforever 02.15.2010 10:11 PM

Oh yea, 200mph is an amazing rush, but kinda scary in a go-kart...How you plan on doing that? The batteries alone would weigh a ton...

Not in a kart. Have you seen the IMSA Lites cars? One of those should do the trick, but it seems none of the places that makes them wants to answer my questions. I do have plans for a electric go-kart as well, but not at the voltage of the bigger brother lol.

Oh...Damn...Thats what you were referring too...I thought we were still talking about karts.

On a side note, I couldn't find any real info on that motor other than what there website said, which wasn't much. How much power is that thing making? I'd say over 100hp easy, huh?

Contact PVP Karting for more details. I'm sure that engine is making 100hp or more. For EUR 10,176.55, it should be Nuclear, Atomic or Hydrogen bomb proof .
