Hot Bodies is having an online Garage Sale
Just saw this on facebook...good place to pick up some of those obscure parts for the Lightning family of vehicles. They have parts for the Lightning Stadium 10, Lightning Stadium, Lightning 2 Buggy, Minizilla and some others.

I think I will buy a bunch of drive shafts/dog-bones, they always come in handy for custom projects, they seem to have several sets of different lengths in there. Alot cheaper than getting custom shafts made, too. Good find for sure.
|
By the way guys, some of the stuff I bought was listed as available soon.
I wonder what that means in terms of shipping delay.... |
Snagged a hummer body for $3!!! The Savage is gettin a face lift!! :yipi:
|
I wish they ship to a military address. Bummer.
|
how what a find.
i just cleaned them out of diffs!.... well maybe not entirely but i ordered ALOT of them, now ill have one with EVERY weight of fluid in it ready to drop in for all my 1/8th scales. btw i was told if the order tops $50 its free shipping so 50 is the magic number. i spent way more than that. |
got some tire/rim combo sets for my savage. only $5 a pair:gasp:
edit: 500th post! |
I don't have any HPI or Hot Bodies trucks and I still bought a huge amount of stuff. It says the diffs are out of stock, but I ordered them anyway. I'll throw a fit and then report back here if they refund me on those.
No free shipping for me, but at least they're willing to ship to Canada. Thanks for sharing skellyo. .dk |
1/8 buggy wheels for 1$ woo hoo
|
Glad you guys could pick up some deals. I've been trying to exercise some restraint lately and not buy a bunch of parts that I didn't have a real use for in one of my vehicles. I have to admit that I searched it over good before posting the link, just in case I wanted to make an order. :mdr:
|
I just ordered a couple of diffs and a bunch of different dogbone shafts, all for $38.13 shipped.

Awesome deals. Ordered a set of Gumballs for my TC3 and a Lightning Stadium body so I can keep my nice Caster one as a shelf queen.
|
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I just spent $100 that I did not see coming, but for the prices it was an offer not to be missed. Great find.
|
Thanks for the offer Harold. Too bad they are already out of the diffs.
Jerry, how did you get them to ship to your APO address? |
they would let you know if they were out of something before you paid wouldnt they? a couple items i looked at after i ordered said out of stock
|
Lucky me.

i got my order today (technically yesterday; it is 1:00am here right now)
HOLY SHIT!! the hotbodies tires i ordered are huge! they inspired me to put the extended chassis plates back on my flux. they are the perfect size for a xl length savage. they are very heavy though. i dropped from 22/47 to 18/47. hopefully that is enough to compensate for both the extra size and weight. http://www.hotbodiesonline.com/products/en/hb61169.html |
Now I'm regretting holding back.
Should've picked up a diff or two and a set of tires. Damn. |
I just dropped 50 on a bunch of stuff.
|
i already stripped out a hex on my new tires:cry:
they are only 14mm, so i put a little jb weld between the hex piece and the wheel hex and i didn't use enough. maybe i can get some thick CA and cut a few slots in the wheel hex and glue the hex piece in place. edit: also, i snapped a HPI super duty front driveshaft today as well. the tires weigh a TON and the truck must weigh at least 16lbs. nose wheelies from braking hard really takes a toll on the front drivetrain. |

Just ordered 2 hardened center diffs, and a wing, they stand up great in the muggy! everything under 28 bucks shipped!

I'm suspecting that anything still on the garage sale page can be ordered despite their status. Anything that is sold out for good will be removed from the page. For example, they took the Hummer H2 body off the garage sale page. .dk |
I had no problems ordering the diffs, like Jerry said the worst that can happen is a refund, but u cant beat $9 complete hardened diffs!
|
I'm jealous.
Anyone know if they will work in an ESavage? I might pick one up to see if they will. Doubtful though, maybe when my eBay listings end.. |
You will most likely have to swap the ring gears or get the matching pinions but other than that they should work fine, you can ebay the ring gears for the price of the diffs easy, these are the diffs i used in my crt x1 project.
|
i didnt get my order yet, wondering when it will come
|
I just ordered some diffs and dogbones and had them shipped to my parents in Michigan.
|
Anyone else have a problem during the check out? I tried to go throught the paypal process but it kept coming back saying something about confirmed address and wanting additional credit cards. Paypal has my credit cards and back account already. I've been confirmed at paypal for a few years now and verified for whatever that is worth.
