Slightly off subject but I lost my first Zippy pack today. Was running my SuperVee 27" boat with a single 4s 5000mah 30C Zippys. Changed out to a second pack and the boat was considerbly slower, WTF ? Brought it in and the pack was a little puffy. Checked w/volt meter and one cell had only 1.32volts where as the rest were 4.18,4.19,4.19. Had this pack over a year, it's paid for itself so NO LOSS to me. |

I installed the second pack, threw the boat in the water and immediately noticed it was much slower. Thats when I volt metered the cells seperately and it was #2 cell that was crapped out. I charged the battery Friday night and it charged perfectly, all cells were within .1 of each other as always.
Like I said, not abig deal. The pack is easily a year old and has ben run probably a 100+ times. I got my moneys worth for the $50.00 it cost. I have dozens more HC lipos that are still fine (knock on wood) I never run a LVC in anything, I know not reccomended but when the power peters off just stop. Cells are always at 3.20 -3.35 when I stop, Works for me ? |
I may put together an order sometime this week. PM me what Lipos you're wanting and if I put together an order, I can tack them onto the order. I'll PM you before I hit the submit button, but sometimes you gotta get an order in quickly when you get word something you're looking for comes in stock.

From what I have seen, placing bigger orders doesn't drop the shipping cost per pc very much. I've played with the shopping cart quite a bit to see how it works out. Then figure the extra shipping cost to the others here, once the order arrives, and it's going to be a net loss for everyone involved, imo. Or at the very least, you will save a few pennies. If you partner up with a local guy, then it makes sense... especially if one of you just wants a $2 item or something.
The LHS orders a lot from HC and they just order whatever it is they want, and then fill up every last gram in that shipping rate "window", with whatever little stuff will fit. That's the thing to do... just get what you want, and eat the shipping. It's part of the cost of ordering anything from overseas, not just from HC. |
doh..
My batteries are out of stock. -20 and -62... |
Hey, if anyone is making an order, I would love to pay $30 shipped to get a new Hobby King GT-2 Radio. Please let me know if anyone could help me out.
|
So any updates anyone?
|
Don't wait on me little dude, It's probably gonna be at least 2 weeks for me now. My order still has yet to ship, I imagine they have a lot of orders to catch up on after their holiday ?
|
Hmm, I guess I'll wait a week or so more than put it in.
I'm in no rush, school and computers have me occupied for now. |

1) You never PM'ed or listed what batts and what quantities you wanted 2) You mentioned they're out of stock, which means no one will tack them onto an order for you because the entire order would be held up waiting on your backordered lipos |
Oh yeah..
:embarrassed: My bad... Ah screw it. I'll probably put in a order soon..:oh: |
