It has been 90.9mph in at 1.503 seconds. That's on a 1/10 scale quarter mile. Fastest ET on it was a 1.489s pass at 84.1s. Also have a dragster that's gone 98.8mph in 1.507s with a quickest ET of 1.413s. These are all on 3S. Check out my other videos and you'll see what I mean.
After doing speed runs with my Rustler, RC drag racing was hard to resist. Hooked is a huge understatement. My funny car: http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...40090Small.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...40091Small.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...40093Small.jpg And my trio of drag cars: http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...40096Small.jpg |
Awesome! Very very cool! Much more fun to watch than speed runs with obscure speed guns and GPS meters.

Oh yes. That's exactly why I enjoy it more. I enjoy race day a whole lot. I don't get to watch my cars from the finish line but the sheer speed of these boogers by the time it gets there is amazing. If ever there's a breakthrough in traction compounds, there will be some ridiculous ETs and trap speeds, and it's already starting to happen. The extreme class is just that and is an open class and guys run 6S in them. Chris Smith from SoCal MHRA just registered the lowest ET of 1.1717s at 109mph with his Extreme dragster! That number is so mind boggling and was inconceivable barely a year ago.
|
That 1.17 is just nuts. I told my dragracing buddy here at work about that and he was just amazed.
|
lol at the nitro MT
he done brought a knife to a gunfight, lol i can't believe how stupid quick those things are! thanks for sharing |
I just hope you guys aren't that quick in other places...

Just a little update on a new milestone. Got my 3S Top Fuel dragster into the 100mph club.
1st and 3rd round of qualifying in TF: http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...40115Small.jpg http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/h...40114Small.jpg |
Geez Sunny! Thats flying bro! Congrats on that accomplishment! Now go for that fast ET at 1.17...
|
That's Awesome Sunny!
|
Thanks nitrostarter and snelle.
I would go after that record but that's a whole different class man: EXTREME. And that brings with it an extreme budget requirement as well. Also, there's not that many people who run that class here in Texas, well in the whole world for that matter. I find Top Fuel to be my cup o' tea for the time being. That and the True 1.05" (1/10 scale True 10.5 ). 3S Funny Car too, but the class died after last year in Houston. I just run it to hit numbers kinda like I did with my dragster yesterday. |
Thats fast! Congrats.

WOW!!! That is too friging cool. Wish they had that where I live. Oh well, they just lately quit calling my 1/8th E buggy a flashlight:lol:
|
Thanks Phil.
George, they learned a LONG time ago not to call electrics names around these parts LOL That only serves to wake up the beast. Flashlight, too funny :D The closest tracks to you are in Florence SC and Fuquay Varina, NC. I think ATL also has a track now. Chicago too. It's a bunch of fun man. Hope you'll get one in Nashville soon. Have you thought of starting one up? |
It took two years to get enough converts for an 1/8th E class at my local track. But I might just build one to do some speed runs in front of the hobby shop and hopefully spark some interest.
