have you guys seen a brushless motor this big?
its the size of a beer bottle. i i wonder what you can use this for, and what esc can you use to power this bad boy.
this site also has some pretty neat stuff as well. http://www.gfreakracing.com/collections/motors |
It is pretty big, yes.
But the only thing that is as big as the beer bottle is the packaging:lol: |
Exactly^. Those motors arent much bigger than the NeuCastle motors- neu and lehner ( to name but two... ) make motors that are absolutely gigantic and larger than a 1pint bear can...
|
White Zombie dude Google it!! And I don't mean the band.

Those look like generators vs motors.
|
Yeah, looks like a hydro-electric plant..
|
Well, TECHNICALLY they could be run in reverse..... I'd call it a tie.
|

No not a tie in size:tongue: :mdr: yous was only a 17kw AC mine was 2080 Megawatt:mdr::lol: |

Of doing what though, thats what scares me...
The motor JRH had looks a beauty, could shift my ass around on an electrified mountain bike quite nicely I reckon.. |

To be honest a Tesla Car motor trumps those...
http://www.treehugger.com/tesla-elec...-insides-1.jpg Quick Look at Tesla's Insides Number 1 on the photo above is the AC electric motor. It might look a bit like a vacuum cleaner, but this beast can generate 248 hp (185 kW), spin up to 13,000 RPM, and its max torque of 200 ft-lb is produced from 0-6,000 RPM. Number 2 is the transmission. After some problems and a temporary two-speed transmission, the Roadster now will have a one-speed transmission with a drive ratio of 8.27:1 that allows it to do 0 to 60 mph in around 4 seconds. Number 3 (above and below) is the power electronics module. One of its tasks is to recapture energy during braking to recharge the batteries, and to make sure that acceleration during a fast start stays under control and that everything stays smooth (if the car wasn't programmed to hold back, it could be downright unpleasant for the people on board). Number 4 (above and below) is the battery pack. 6,831 lithium-ion cells arranged into 11 modules connected in series with a lot of safety sensors and cooling systems to avoid catastrophic cell failures. Full charge time is around 3½ hours, it contains about about 53 kW·h of energy, and it weights between 900 and 1000 lb (400-450 kg). Estimated life: over 100,000 miles (160,000 km). |
we can say :bye bye Tesla
Sorry Tesla, but these guys got you as of today! <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/369h-SEBXd8?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/369h-SEBXd8?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> http://www.evalbum.com/035.html |

Not electronic but I just felt like throwing something big out there.

I don't know if it is brushless but I have always liked Wrightspeed. IIRC it is an Aerial Atom, I like that thing even with a combustion motor. :mdr:

Tis mine indeed, I am helping with the development of it. I just got all excited since it came in the mail yesterday and it has been like 6 months in the making. Based on the Astro 32xx stator and 8 pole design. My current task is to get a sensor PCB done on the quick. A buddy did the housing, Bob Astro did the laminations, rotor, and winding.

How about these fellas system running a brush less in full sized vehicles =) Word is they have secured a BMW account for some new performance BMW electrics =) If it wasn't for the $25K+ price ide try one. |

liquid fuel racing is finished
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4_64...layer_embedded The bike features a GE 13-inch forklift DC motor that used to reside in Dennis Berube's electric drag racing S-10 truck, Smokescreen. The motor is fed by two Zilla 2K controllers and a 360 volt pack of A123 lithium batteries. I cant even find a picture of this one single motor...it must be top secret.....the battery pack is outrages I would love to see the esc's also |
well I found the controllers...there only $5000
