You need to sign up to see the pictures- copy & paste & imageshack/ photobucket time me thinks.
Its do-able though, yeah, just not terribly advised... |
No dude,
cant run 2 brushless motors from one esc, as it messes up the phasing of the pulse... |
Technically it as actually possible to do if both motors can be synchronized to a gearbox - there was a post maybe 3 years ago where it was done.
Practically speaking though it would be a PITA and probably smoke your ESC. |
wouldn't that double the amp draw? geez, i dunno.... most escs have a hard enough time handling the rigors of hard bashing. i couldn't imagine doubling the load. those peaks would me monsterous. :surprised:

Still a power to weight ratio thing. I can understand startup being high but braking would need to be light so it doesn't flip the car.

the one 1518 already has wayyy more power than it needs to power an e-maxx. wouldn't you think that the power to weight might be more plausable if the vehicle was maybe an HPI 5B? |

DAMN! Why would you need 2 motors with a mmmxl
|
I personally would only run dual motors with dual ESCs. Just easier IMO to use a larger single motor.

wow...i don't think i would have believed it unless i had seen it with my own eyes. i wonder if it works?
|
yeah, looks interesting, would love to see some video of it running on a bench, and then bashing hard.

We were doing this 4 years ago...
http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2446 saddly all the attached pictures got nuked when the RC-M server went down- GriffinRu ( Arthur ) is a legend; can you imagine 2 powerboards from an MM wired in parallel to create a ~160amp MM? Good old days.... :intello: http://forum.rcdesign.ru/blogs/4415/blog4093.html |
