batteries

hey i am getting those mached pre assembled inegy 6 cell packs so i am going to need a charger there is a purple charger for 55 dollars that says that it can do stuff that the others can do. but anyways can that charger charge the packs listed above(in other word gp 3300 packs).

MaxxFusion 03.11.2005 02:59 PM

Yes it can charge GP3300 packs.

HotnCold 03.11.2005 05:35 PM

If your looking for some good chargers - check out the indi 16x3 and the 16x4 - they are both sweet and have more options than the purple charger ( providing the purple charger is the super brain charger ). Those integy packs you have can be charged at 5.5 to 6.0 amps.

You have 2 ways to go on chargers - You can get a more inexpensive charger at first ( to see if your gonna like the hobby ) ( which is a given :) )and save a couple of sheckels and upgrade to a model which has more features later or bite the bullet and get the upgraded model right off the bat. I can tell you this because I have currently 7 chargers. 4 Good and 3 base feature models. Hope this helps ya... or confuses ya - LOL

I am the best at soldering batteries...just kidding. Mike saw my batteris and laughed. I had a horrible soldering iorn and i messed up my cells. I resoldered them, remving the moutain of extra solder, and now they look better. But the cells are still permenty burnt and UGLY!!!!

RC-Monster Mike 03.17.2005 06:06 PM

Ugly is an understatement, Evan!

Dafni 03.17.2005 06:09 PM

LOL, I would have loved to see those batts.

HnC, are these chargers you mentioned capable of charging 14 cells?

Mike, whatīs you suggestion on 14 cell chargers?

MaxxFusion 03.17.2005 06:15 PM

The Integy 16x4 is a great charger and will charge up to 15 cells.

RC-Monster Mike 03.17.2005 06:16 PM

The 16X4 will charge up to 15 cells at once. It is a very reliable and high quality charger as well as being reasonably priced.

Dafni 03.17.2005 06:22 PM

Has it a 12V input? We have 220V or 380V here, and I was told you īmericans have 110V.

Where can I have a look at it??

RC-Monster Mike 03.17.2005 06:27 PM

http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...16X4Pro&cat=19

There it is. It can use 110v standard outlet ('merican style home wall outlet:)) or 12v DC.

Dafni 03.17.2005 06:32 PM

Looks interesting indeed. Can it still deliver 5.5amps on 14 cells?

Iīll check here at my place for a power supply. (if only you guys could finally switch to 220V standard:L: j/k) (while youīre at it, you could also get rid of those Inches and Farenheit, LOL. just kidding, donīt get me wrong)

RC-Monster Mike 03.17.2005 06:36 PM

What about pounds and gallons? :)
I couldn't say for sure on the 5.5 amps with 14 cells, but I think it can deliver this.

Dafni 03.17.2005 06:39 PM

:L: and they say weird words like Globalisation :C:

I have a 14 cell charger whis is labeled as 5amp, and it delivers it well up to 10 cells, but then it decreases rapid. With 14 cells it will only pump 3 amps.

RC-Monster Mike 03.17.2005 06:43 PM

It depends on the internal power supply. As I said, I don't know the specifics, but I know it works very well. I should work equally well in Switzerland (so......globalization!) :)

Dafni 03.17.2005 06:49 PM

Iīll think about it. Thanks

(awh, I always mess this s to z thing up, but you must admitt Iīm doing good for a swissie. Iīm glad you donīt have to hear me trying to speak your lingo, though:o )

RC-Monster Mike 03.17.2005 06:56 PM

Between our conversations on the forums and through e-mail, I would never know you were a Swissie! I have had conversations with Americans who are a lot less literate than you. Besides, I am sure your English is better than my Swiss (considering I don't know the language!).

Dafni 03.17.2005 07:12 PM

Thanks:)

HotnCold 03.17.2005 07:52 PM

I love the cheese...... :)

Megazone23 03.17.2005 08:29 PM

And don't forget their most excellent Army Knives! :L:

Dafni 03.18.2005 06:50 PM

Yes, the Army knifes are handy thingies, indeed. I have a few lying around.

But I canīt stand cheese!

And I donīt like to ski, either. (donīt ask:rolleyes: )

Mike, sorry for the off-topic chattering.

starscream 03.25.2005 09:34 PM

When it comes to soldering, I try not to. I'd suggest going solderless. You can get solderless battery packs from here: http://www.modelelectronicscorp.com/price-list.html#spt

This way, if you have a cell go bad, you can easily replace the cell without any solder. I've been using these for some time now and they work great. GP2200's, plenty of power with less weight :D

EmaxxDestroyer 04.25.2005 04:24 AM

Hey new to the forum and have a tricked out dual SS5800 Emaxx. But i have an intellipeak dual charger that just took a crap on me! I need a charger that will charge two batteries at once in a decent amount of time, price isnt an issue, and can do anywhere from 6cells to 18...i am only running two 7 cells but i would like some room to play with cause i am considering dual HV novak brushless motors! can yall help me out or steer me to the right site!! Oh and for the owner i have about a 1000$ cart right now should be ordering soon just waiting on an inheritance check to come in! sounds kinda morbid but i think my grandfather would have wanted me to enjoy the money or he wouldnt have givin me 125k

HotnCold 04.25.2005 06:54 AM

BAtts

Did you check out the Integy triple pro charger. You can find it in the RC-Monster Store under batts and chargers. If you desire something else, let us know and we will do our best to point you in the right direction...

Serum 04.25.2005 07:34 AM

@dafni, don't be ashamed..

You manage very well, you should hear me speak German, you could make a comedy hour of it, and with an hour, you would be short in time (in this hour i would only be trying to ask where the toilets are)

Why don't you get an Intelli V3 or V3.1 charger (diff between the 3 and 3.1 is 3 or 5S lipoly packs)

You could make a 12V from an ATX powersupply. (tested and approved, by me..)
