As soon as Mike has the CC combo I will order it from him:yes:

slimthelineman 12.25.2010 08:18 PM

Yessssss me likey carbon fiber. If I could ever get off storm work I want to order a full snr graphite kit for my rc8b. Not exactly sure how much lighter it is bit it's definately sexier! Keep us posted the 5b should be a wicked platform to harness the castle power about to be unleashed on the masses.

brainanator 12.25.2010 09:07 PM

so how fast does that thing go?????
How far can you control it??? is it any fun?
just jokin! Looks good! :intello:

JERRY2KONE 12.25.2010 09:33 PM

Nice start.

Well thats a nice start Harold. I look forward to seeing how this works out for you. I know you are not the type to go half a$$ on a project like this one. I expect that we shall see a real jewel in the making. Good luck with your plans Harold. Have fun and don't break the bank. You still have to eat ya know.

bryan 12.25.2010 09:48 PM

Yes, the part of Harold you wish to see is about 1/5 scale compared to the norm. At least that is what Hippie says, and knowing how he likes dudes I will have to defer to his considerable experience. Jerry was not satisfied either, so it must be a bit small.

Leave me out of this .

JERRY2KONE 12.26.2010 01:08 AM

Small parts.

Yea its funny how people always say that it is easy to read between the lines. It seems that there is only one person here talking about Harold's small 5b parts. So if the shoe fits? Go for it James. I guess you have moved on from the monkey's and midgits, to chaired people.

I value your expert seasoned opinion Jerry (that was good, got you twice in one sentence) but I think I will stick to the ladies, and leave the rest to you and your capable hands...

And they prefer to be called "little people", cause they are people too, you know. And little people have big feelings.

As far as monkeys go, well, I will not go there. Shawn (tdc57) can chime in on that if he ever returns...

coolhandcountry 12.26.2010 08:33 AM

Is this going to be a shelf queen or a runner?
Looks awful pretty at moment.
Match it up with some RCM aluminum parts for a real beaut.

If he does, it will be one pricey 5E for sure

doo540 12.26.2010 03:22 PM

The CF frame looks great, no need to put these beasts on a diet, they can weigh 30 lbs and still wheelie like mad!!!

brushlessboy16 12.26.2010 03:25 PM

please put some aluminum ribs on the bottom of that chassis! cant stand to see it get worn away :(

Good start though!

:)

bigsteel 12.26.2010 04:18 PM

Wow,subscribed! And if you could, can we get comparison weights as you replace Al with CF? Thanks!--Josh

Jahay 02.10.2011 11:06 AM

reno911 02.10.2011 04:03 PM

I have the same lipos, seem prety good to me. Lots of punch in my pede 4x4, enough to ruin the stock front driveshafts in 3mins or so.

Jahay 03.07.2011 03:44 PM

This is going to be one expensive, epic build!!!

bruce750i 03.07.2011 04:01 PM

Sprite looks good, lemon and lime!

Man, the spending doesn't stop. I'm doing this build "ground up". All the odds and ends like hingepins, screws and nut holders are really nickle and diming me. I have more goodies I'll post in a day or 2.

JERRY2KONE 03.08.2011 02:32 AM

Good to see

Its good to see you having some fun Harold. So how is your latest PC holding up? Have you made some changes to your network setup?

So how much is this one going to cost you? With that 2028 your either going to have a real torque monster, or your going for a land speed record. Just try to keep it on the ground....

Its an old apple powerbook G4, it seems to be working well. I have a new modem, router and finally have my router secure. So far so good.

I think I'll be right at 3 g's for this build. The speed calculator puts it at 57mph. It will be epic.

It's called foreplay. It's always straight to the build with you.

lincpimp 03.09.2011 04:31 PM

This build is boring, get screwing Harold.

JERRY2KONE 03.10.2011 01:46 AM

First timer.

Don't you let anyone rush you Harold. We know this is your first time. Being a virgin is precious. They just don't like being teased.

I got two kids under age 5, what the hell is foreplay?

Anyway, someone who knows how to build doesn't have to spend a lot of time on foreplay. Your just ready to go when it's time and can get the build going as well...............
