Really cool. Gotta get them some real RCs. Would be cool to see a savage or a baja in front of every humvee convoy. haha.

There's a link to the website to donate and send more trucks.

That poor little stampeded sure was worth the few hundred they had invested in it.

Here's the link to where you can donate, that is just awesome.

A Baja (maybe with a brick on top of it) could probably trip an anti tank landmine. That would be cool. Just watch out for the shrapnel.

An anti tank landline is specifically designed not to go off under a specific weight which is typically more than 500lbs . As to not waste it on infantry but to still go off under the weight Of one truck wheel. Good plan but a Baja is a little under weight, lol

Great story. I would think a stampede/Rc would flip over sometimes on patrol. Then what? Endanger a man to go flip it over or leave it for the enemy to use against us or maybe shoot it and destroy it?

LOL. I was certain it wouldn't work anyway but was having a bit of a joke.

Actually of topic but my cousin's husband has worked in quite a few countries to clear fields from mines. I know he has worked in Cambodia and just recently in Bosnia. They don't use RC cars but instead they use dogs that are trained to sniff out explosives. I was really sad to find out from him that he has lost two dogs doing this but those two dogs would have probably saved many more lives. Poor pooches...... They have tried many different methods but dogs always come up trumps when it comes to finding mines. I can't imagine doing something like what he does. I know he gets paid a lot but F that.

The EODs in the Navy uses a real nice RC for handling explosives. We had two onboard the ship but photography is not allowed due to the nature of the work. We used to be able to take pictures of everything including F/A 18 fighter jets taking off and landing on the flight deck but that has changed.

By the way, I had a very, very reliable source tell me that the motors/ESCs were made by Castle Creations. Each of the ROV(remotely Operated Vehicle) cost about $50K.

This would be a great charity cause - I wonder how to get on board with this program, though?
