it looks really good, however...I would re-route your wires coming from the esc....from going thru the motor plate...cause...all it will take is for the wires to move or come in contact wit hthe spur and it can take off some of the insulation and the wires can contact and poof...there goes the controller, or if they get caught in the spur and it rips them out of the controller .....either way your asking for trouble,,,,,,just my 0.2 worth

being my first "custom rc", there are a few things i had to learn the hard way. when i was tinning the wire, i just kept feeding the solder to make sure of good connections. i didn't realize i had tinned 1.5 of a possible 2 inches of esc wire going to batts. so i'm stuck with this location, but the wires are really stiff and have 3 or 4 layers of insulation around them. i also zip tied them away from the spur and coated the hole in the motor plate and esc mount in shoe goo, so it will be fine. thanks for the concern though.

coolhand, i have run it without a body and it flies. if i ease it up to speed on road rage 40's on asphalt, it will break the tires loose at 3/4 throttle with a 15t pinion at around 40 or 45 mph, and get really squirrely (not sure on spelling), so i havn't hit full throttle yet, maybe today with my finished body. everyone at my lhs drools over this thing. and i have already been challenged by someone with a supercharged revo. i can take him 'cause he can't control his off the line. so far i have rub it about 15 or 20 minutes at a time, and havn't even used 1/2 the capacity of the polyquest "twenty" 3700 lipos. i used 1150 mah with a 15-20 min. test. outside temp. was 93, motor and esc were 120-150f. what do you think?

What turn do you have on your 1950? And what voltage do you run? 2P or 1P of those 3700??

Nice RC, tallyram! I wouldn't be concerned about the wires either, if you zip-tied them out of the way you're fine. I do this the same way on some of my trucks.

And, is the Polyquest stuff the same as Flightpower?

i run an 8 turn non-high amp 1950. i beleive polyquest uese the same cells. so far i would definitely recommend these packs, awesome power to weight ratio and runtime.

Cool, I have the same motor in HiAmp. And I love it too. What voltage do you run through it? 5S?

i'm running 6s right now. in the future i'll probably run 5s or 4s for the track, not sure yet.

thanks boss, if i remember correctly, you influenced this project as well as monster mike, coolhand, dafni, serum, squee, sylvester, stampy, metalman, brian G, and a few others. this truck was fun to build and its fun to drive. this site owns.

I have that motor on 6s limn to tally. I think it is an awesome motor. Has great run time speed and power.

You need them, otherwise you WILL ruin your lipo's for sure!

Hey serum I do not run cups on mine. I have like a plexy glass on top and bottom of the cells. I guess it is there to protect them. Would it be a good idea to get the cups.

thanks everyone. i've got a short video on my camera, but i can't upload it to my computer(imac). if i figure it out i'll put it up for sure. on a side note, i wish you guys could have seen the looks on everyones faces at my local track when i took my truck out. they all run gas revos. they couldn't beleive their eyes. priceless!
