I want a UE Monoblock Chassis Extension

Does anyone know when these extensions will be avalable again.
Thanks

Nick 05.31.2006 05:37 PM

He makes on request, e-mail him.

Serum 06.01.2006 01:50 AM

Step in line, i am waiting for one too.

:p

coolhandcountry 06.01.2006 07:24 AM

With ue it is very hard to say. I like there products. They are nice. It seems like they don't worry about if they have the products or not in stock.

captain harlock 06.02.2006 11:13 AM

anyone knows how long is the lightning chassis in comparison to the FLM extended chassis? is it going to be longer than the FLM chassis if the monoblock chassis extension is used? sorry to bring up such a question all of a sudden.

coolhandcountry 06.02.2006 11:52 AM

The shafts for the lightning will fit right in the flm. So My guess is they they same wheel base. Maybe a few mm difference if any.If you add the mono block it adds it to the over length of any maxx. It works with the flm or ue or gmaxx.

Sneeck 06.02.2006 11:56 AM

Actually the mono block work's with any maxx type chassis out there.

captain harlock 06.02.2006 01:00 PM

Yeah, I know, but my point is whether the flm is longer than the lightning or not, because the flm is already extended. If I use the monoblock with the flm, will I need a longer shaft than the 100.5mm one?

coolhandcountry 06.02.2006 01:17 PM

The flm and lightning should be almost the same. You should have a 105 mm shaft in the flm. That is what mine took. You will need a longer shaft with weither. I would say about a 135 or so.

Nick 06.02.2006 01:56 PM

If I ever get my Lightning, it is extended, what dog bone would I need with monoblock? Would I need to use a CVD?

coolhandcountry 06.02.2006 05:26 PM

Well if you need a 105 for the chassis and it puts it at a 30mm longer. I would guess 137 or 135. 2mm for slight angle.

dda01015 06.19.2006 01:29 AM

Lightning is 13 1/4" FLM 13 1/2" Gorilla with extension is 14". Compensate for shaft length with fuel tube doughnuts if you need a little room. The mondo shaft guy will make any length you need.

Serum 06.19.2006 04:02 AM

Thanks dda, who is this mondo guy?

squeeforever 06.21.2006 07:02 PM

captain harlock 06.26.2006 07:58 PM

You have any information from them if they're going to put it on mass production like the rest of their stuff?

Someone knows if the extension is on production?
Was any of you able to get one in the last few weeks?

Papa 11.13.2006 07:33 PM

There back.http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...ore/13236.html

coolhandcountry 11.13.2006 09:56 PM

It still says out of stock.

Papa 11.14.2006 12:12 AM

There is a thread on the forum ststing that he will take pre-orders. They are being polished and will be in stock in days.

captain harlock 11.14.2006 04:17 AM

Oh brother! I've just orderred the G-Maxx chassis extension.....probably I can ask Mike to get me the Mono instead.

jhautz 11.16.2006 07:38 PM

Will this work with the gmaxx chassis?

Same length so the dogbones from the g-maxx will work? Or does this extension come with dog bones?

Nick 11.17.2006 06:37 AM

I said 5 days ago that they were making some in another thread. ;)

Fits Lightning now to! All I need is a super long drive shaft. Does postage cost anything? What's delivery like?

They fit the G-Maxx just right. No custom work needed.

Nick, you can either ask Mike for 135mm rear dogbone or you can go to www.rcalloys.com and they'll do you anything you need.

Will they fit with the EXTENDED gmaxx? That would make a superlong gmaxx with set backs! :027: :005:

sjcrss 11.17.2006 05:39 PM

yes that would make a real long gmaxx.....hmmmm i wonder.....

Anyone know fore sure though?:032: :032:

captain harlock 11.17.2006 05:56 PM

It sure will, neweuser, but there will be some extreme flexibility in the rear end.
Surely you're not trying to try it out. Right?

Nah, I think not. I would be curious to have someone test though! If it were all one piece, maybe. But I agree that there would be too much flex. You would have to almost extend the front and rear to minmize the flex a tad more, then make some sort of brace for the ends.:032:

captain harlock 11.17.2006 06:03 PM

I wonder if the truck would keep wheelying with this much extension.

I wouldn't think so. Just added an extended to the gmaxx helps that alot. It would definately be less even more. It would be nice to find out though:005:

captain harlock 11.17.2006 06:06 PM

I guess it is much safer with a FLM or Lightning chassis. You only need a very long rear drive shaft.

Very true, then the next question would be the integrity of the shaft length?:032:

coolhandcountry 11.17.2006 06:19 PM

I have tried the front extension. I sold it off. It would still wheelie.
The mono block would fit the extend gmaxx.

jhautz 12.25.2006 02:45 AM

How mch does the monoblock extend the chassis. Cant seem to find this info. Is it more than the Gmaxx extention?
