Hello all
This is my newest project in it's early stage of BL conversion. Ultra MBX 80% kit. I have two 18v 3000mah makita Li-Ion battery packs for it. Warrior 9920 controller that i'm scapping for a Quark 125b Monster, I currently have a BK 9L that i'm scrapping for a 8XL. I traded the funky rear brace for Traxxas Tubes how do you like em? Oh and these are the tires I have for it.:018: |

Thanx coolhandcountry
Does anyone know if there are cva's or universals for the rear and center for the Ultra MBX like the ones on the 9.5 pro in the pics ??:032: |
Looking good! Are those tires on the 9.5 Proline Knuckles?
I think the Traxxas Tubes are a good trade-off for the stock rear plate. |
yup
Yup those are ProLine knuckles good eye:017: The 9.5 belongs to a friend of mine who turned me on to the Brushless setup.

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=44991 at $459.99 HarborFreight also has a smaller one: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=47158 at $249.99 I've been thinking about buying this one for some time. I'd expect it would handle just about any normal R/C part, short of a chassis. |
I might look into that mini drill, looks promicing. Looks like it can handle about anything on that we work on.
|
At the stuff i mod. I may look into one. I could make some cool parts then.
|
i wish i had A the talent and b the tools to custom my own stuff
|
You should see the work Thorbob make's on maxxtraxx with he's mill. Incredible.
I've got a small mill myself too. Still need to actually make some stuff, but i'm short of material's. I use it to drill and countersink hole's. Work's allot better than a cordless drill. |
Highhat, I noticed in your pics that you still have the electronics on the Makita packs. Are you going to remove that stuff or keep it on there?

mill
Batfish got it right i got the bigger one for $469 up close the smaller one looks very cheaply built. I love having a mill but it's all the tooling needed for different operations that gets expensive!:026: Like a hv rotorary table $150 and it's a must have item theres a bunch more stuff I need too!
sneeck I got the aluminum for practice pourposes using that thing isn't that easy! cart213 I was hoping to use the built in balancer if I can figure it out:032: if not it's going in the trash.:037: |
