Updated shots of revo

Alot has happened ever since i got my new batteries and chassis. I also got a new motor. I have got a 1950 7T hi amp motor. Here are some shots of my battery trays. Not that monday they will go on the milling machine to look better and shave down a bit of weight. I also had a problem with the batteries shifiting up and down so i made the aluminum bracket as shown below in my pics. I also ripped a responce (FINALLY!). I got some maxx mulchers on pro-line dishes, just for some all around bashing. Any questions and comments are welcome!

Here is a pic of the bracket mounted, i just need to drill the holes on moday.

On A side not, the motor runs VERY well! It barely gets warm/bit over warm and also runs alot smoother! And before with my 10L i had overheating problems with the motor and esc, but the 1950 helped cool the esc down alot, too! No more fans for me!

Ill post pics of the truck with new tires/rims and new milled battery trays by middle next week, so be prepared to be dazzled!

Am I missing something? What happened to the G2R?

Nick 06.11.2006 02:52 PM

Hows the 1950 7t? Didn't you have an XL before? How does it compare, what voltage do you run it on, runtimes etc etc. :027:

Snap. I'm sure you had a G2R.

Sylvester 06.11.2006 03:28 PM

Squee, to make a long story short, bashers prefere higher center of gravity! The 1950 is awesome. I never had an xl, just a 10L. The motor is soo efficeient, that on startups there basicly is no stutter!

boss 302 06.11.2006 10:18 PM

so what happened to the g2r?

Mike.L 06.12.2006 01:00 PM

its on the side right now i was hinking of buying the chassis and x brace and justb uying the two e-maxx top plates

jhautz 06.12.2006 02:39 PM

If you want the 2 emaxx top plates. (servo plate and back plate) I have a spare set. My Gorilla Chassis started on a emaxx and moved to a Revo. So I have the 2 top plates for the Emaxx just sitting. I have a second Gmaxx chassis that I bought on ebay for the emaxx now so I'm not using the original set I had. Anyway, If you want them let me know I sell em to you for a good price. They are just taking up space in a parts bin right now.

BTW. they are the aluminum ones, not CF.

PM me if your interested.

Sylvester 06.12.2006 07:54 PM

The g2r is just sitting in my tool box. I might go back to it some day, not too keen on it though, the stockers are wicked.

tallyram 06.12.2006 08:01 PM

why don't you like your g2r?

Sylvester 06.12.2006 08:07 PM

I do, i just dont like it sitting low, for bashing, the stockers are alot better imo!

tallyram 06.12.2006 08:20 PM

thats exactly what i'm dealing with. i might do a savage 25 conversion to bash with. depending on how coolhand likes his on a 2250, i might do something similar.

Sylvester 06.12.2006 08:22 PM

Yeah, the revo is a tough truck though! Let me tell you, i cant find a way to break anything, and once bulkless comes out, well darn im gonna have the ultimate beat-truck ! :)

tallyram 06.12.2006 08:25 PM

i would do a revo if bulkless would hurry up. right now everyone wants a brushless revo. four people at my local track are thinking about them after seeing mine on the track. lmt's rule!

Sylvester 06.12.2006 08:27 PM

Indeed, flm better hurry, but they are one busy crew! Yes, LMT's are the bomb, a true work of art! Also, im going to post finished pics of truck on wednesday, im a little behind because of this busy week!

tallyram 06.12.2006 08:37 PM

take your time and im sure you'll be happy!

Sylvester 06.12.2006 08:39 PM

Of course! Tuesday milling, wednesday fitting/final perfections and photos:)

tallyram 06.12.2006 08:42 PM

i wish i had access to a mill!

Sylvester 06.12.2006 08:44 PM

Its a beautiful thing, tally! Without it, i think i would go cry and quit, but thats just me:)

tallyram 06.12.2006 08:48 PM

i spent about 2 hours dremeling on a piece of angled aluminum for my motor mount. its ugly, but it does the job! will be replaced in the near future.

Sylvester 06.12.2006 08:50 PM

If it functions properly, who cares if its not that nice looking, i rather have a ugly looking but well functioning piece rather than a pretty peice but non-functioning.

tallyram 06.12.2006 08:51 PM

true, but the chassis is so gorgeous. my mount is like a scar on it!

Sylvester 06.12.2006 08:53 PM

No worries, tally! Trust me, people that see it will care less what the mount looks like, even if they notice it, they will just ask the following, "WHERE CAN I GET ONE DUDE?!?!?!?!" :)

tallyram 06.12.2006 08:54 PM

yuuuuuuuuuuup!

Sylvester 06.12.2006 08:58 PM

:) May i ask, what else they ask? ;)

tallyram 06.12.2006 09:24 PM

how did that cute little e-revo pull a thirty mph wheelie all the way down the front stretch? lol!

Sylvester 06.12.2006 09:25 PM

Cute? Man you really gotta get some mulchers to "roughen" up the look on that puppy! :)

tallyram 06.12.2006 09:29 PM

when i build my basher, it will run mulchers or zombie maxxes. both look awesome. i'll try the mulchers when the 40's get released.

Sylvester 06.12.2006 09:30 PM

The 40's are realeased.

tallyram 06.12.2006 09:37 PM

havn't been to towers site lately to check. maybe i'll get mike to throw them on my order before it ships.

Sylvester 06.12.2006 09:38 PM

Leroy (coolhandcountry) says they are awesome, this is a quote from him "they have soo much grip that they break more parts" lol, that sounds like mulching to me! :)

tallyram 06.12.2006 09:42 PM

i might try them in the field at a local park, should work well!

Some updated photos! I milled the battery trays and put them on the truck, i tested out the new little battery holder (located behind the pack) and it works flawlessly!

Here are 2 more, sorry its already dirty now, i was just soo tempted to drive it! BTW it ran great, these mulchers have alot better traction than those worn down responces! I could do rolling wheelies at about 30. :043: :004:

cabking 06.15.2006 05:33 AM

 nice job Syl.. God bless zip ties

Sylvester 06.15.2006 07:47 AM

They wont be there for long! Im thinking of a nice way to use some battery straps.

So take some pics WITHOUT the batteries in so we can see the trays!

Sylvester 06.15.2006 05:58 PM

I will, after i finish running today! I havent had this much fun in a while!

tallyram 06.16.2006 03:36 PM

man, that truck looks tough with the mulchers. i gotta get some of those!

Sylvester 06.16.2006 04:15 PM

They sure do make it look tough! But even without them, the truck is tough as nails. (exept the diffs;) )
