Very nice Serum, really good!

20 cells on a 2250/10? How does it run? Don't know much about those motors except they are really powerful, lol.

Serum 08.10.2006 01:31 PM

powerfull it is. I don't know about topspeed, i dialed it back to 60 percent at Daniels track.

It's a blast on the full 100 though. It's remarkable quite. Mike made me a wider pinion, to hold two spurs at once. (not on in the pictures)

Nick 08.10.2006 01:33 PM

Simply awesome Serum, you've done great on the differential and motor mount.

Nice to see a rusty/dirty truck to! I love the "well used" look. :)

Serum 08.10.2006 01:34 PM

LOL nick!

coolhandcountry 08.10.2006 01:52 PM

Cool. I see a pic finally. When you going to try a few more cells?
I had 26 on mine at one time. It was really insane.
Got to love the power though.

crazyjr 08.10.2006 01:52 PM

Awsome truck Serum, I'm thinking about a similar setup using a Revo, I got the 2250/16024 from Coolhand.

virusss 08.10.2006 02:04 PM

Absolute...Fantastic...
Very very nice gooooood work...
:)

Serum 08.10.2006 02:18 PM

Bye bye revo drivetrain........

:p

the savage drivetrain is stronger to start with. With a centerdiff, the powers are better divided.

The MGM can be programmed to slow down in startup. It would be wise to use this option!

coolhandcountry 08.10.2006 02:53 PM

I think he is going to get the buddy diff option when it comes out.

Serum 08.10.2006 03:33 PM

a friend till the end?

danverz 08.10.2006 06:22 PM

It looks really nice Serum !
I am very attracted by Brushless Savage :)

Ciao,
Daniele

Hey Serum

I can not stop looking at it so cool

crazyjr 08.10.2006 09:36 PM

Actually i have seen revos with everything from a .28 to a .52 4-stroke and the diffs hold up good, I know they will break eventually, but i got faith in the drivetrain holding up till the fastlane hybrid cases come out. It may take that long to get it planned and parts made for it. Mike, Expect an e-mail about this soon, I got some parts i need made for this

aqwut 08.11.2006 02:49 AM

That's a very very neat job man... Excellent..!!!! I wish my brushless job was that neat....

toby 08.21.2006 09:50 PM

serum what center diff is that?

cemetery gates 08.21.2006 09:58 PM

looks to be an ofna mbx center diff.............

coolhandcountry 08.21.2006 10:56 PM

Hye rene. I just noticed some thing different on your esc.
Did you silicone the caps together or did they come like that?
The one i had was loose.

aqwut 08.21.2006 11:41 PM

Hey Serum, how wide are the new pinions Mike made for you?... 10mm+ I need something like that for sure..

Serum 08.22.2006 02:00 AM

@squee; Yes, it's an ofna centerdiff, i got it complete from Ebay

@Leroy; i used thermal glue to hold them together.

@Aqwut, yeah, Mike made mine about 12 mm wide. He has got a gear-rod he cuts them from. I thought he had a big size too. (36t i thought)

neweuser 08.22.2006 01:24 PM

Very nice savage serum. You made it look very nice and neat like. Very pro looking!

Serum 08.22.2006 01:56 PM

Thanks NeweUser.

It was more of a test for me, i wanted to see how a centerdiff held in a heavier/larger truck. it's some kind of proto-type for a plan i have.. (in which i am pretty far by now, the drawings are finished, i am going to have it CNC'd within a few weeks.

neweuser 08.22.2006 02:04 PM

So you are planning to mill some proto's and get something going for the BL savages? that would be really neat. The thing that keeps me away from the savage and BL, is there is not much out there yet.

Serum 08.22.2006 02:13 PM

The thing i dislike about the savage, is that the arms are made for long travel shocks. A wider and lower shocktower would be much better. the suspension is too progressive with UE shocks and the FLM towers.

If i am making something, it would be in coorporation with Mike.
