hows everyones E revo?

just curious are you guys enjoying the E Revo conversion and is it better than emaxx?

cabking 09.04.2006 08:16 AM

From my personal point of view, its a heap better than my emaxx.
My emaxx had been upgraded sooooo much to take the abuse that it weighed a ton and cost a bomb.
The Revo on the other hand runs basically as stock (except for the diffs) and on a good day can beat a CRT (Nitro obviously ) round our track......Champion :004:

I love mine. I don't have the G2R conversion, but with a OWB bearing up front, it handles damn near as good as my LSP did. G2R is soon to come for it.

glassdoctor 09.04.2006 10:04 AM

I "think" he means a one-way bearing.. but I'm lost too if that's not it. :D

squeeforever 09.04.2006 10:05 AM

OWB is one-way bearing. It's like a RD Quickturn. Basically eliminates front brakes so you can whip the rear end around. Yea, yea, I know..It's OWB not WOB....It's called a typo :p.

cabking 09.04.2006 10:15 AM

ahh the light has come on.... thanks
Can I use this for the G2R then as it uses dog bones...no?
the idea of more on power steering would be great.

sorry to spam up the thread Jock

squeeforever 09.04.2006 10:18 AM

I custom made mine. The Quickturn will be to short. All you need is a OWB from a old pro .15 or something thats smalll, and then press it into a slider with a Revo stub axle going into it.

jocktheglide 09.04.2006 08:20 PM

im thinking of buying it thats why I ask everyone.....

jocktheglide 09.04.2006 08:54 PM

what body fits on the E revo conversion the 3.3 body or 2.5?

squeeforever 09.04.2006 08:59 PM

The 3.3 will fit better.

Sylvester 09.04.2006 09:02 PM

Ill post here once i get my revo up and running again ;)

Mike.L 09.04.2006 09:10 PM

at-a-boy!!!!:D:005:

squeeforever 09.04.2006 09:18 PM

Well well well...Look what the cat drug in...Lol. How was the month long vacation, Dom?

HummerMan 09.04.2006 11:28 PM

What diffs are needed for a BL system? Also CF or Aluminium for the Gorilla Maxx chassis? Mostly a basher... Thanks guys.

jocktheglide 09.04.2006 11:31 PM

ok guys im about to buy a revo gorillia kit some guy on ebay is gonna sell me the complet setup like mikes for 530 shippd and he has 3.3 body and im buying other things from him...im gonna build me one whoo hooo...

cabking 09.05.2006 03:22 AM

you will love it too I'm sure...........
If I were building one now, I would wait for Mikes 8th diff cases to come out.
even the 'Hop up' ali ones seem to wear out, Granted they are loads better than stock, but after a few races mine have started to wear around the cross pin.

Sylvester 09.05.2006 06:59 AM

Squee it was great! Thanks for asking! Really glad to be back. jock you will be very pleased with the revo, it is really an awesome truck!

HummerMan 09.05.2006 11:42 AM

Any idea when the 1/8 diffs for the Revo will be avaiable?

Serum 09.05.2006 11:53 AM

Not yet HummerMan..
Not yet..

I am about to get a g2r revo too.. Daniel convinced me..

HummerMan 09.05.2006 01:32 PM

Ok, like weeks, months, or years LOL? Really not to big of a deal for me, since I need to save the money first. Also is the CF or aluminum chassis the way to go?

squeeforever 09.05.2006 06:24 PM

Carbon Fiber all the way....It might be a month before the diffs come out...

Sylvester 09.05.2006 08:43 PM

Carbon fiber is alot stronger than aluminum, but if it snaps your out of the game. As for aluminum it can always be bent back as a band aid fix so you can still run while waiting for a replacement. Just my 0.02 cents.

Mike.L 09.05.2006 09:12 PM

ya, didn't you chip your servo plate when you had your g2.

Sylvester 09.05.2006 09:22 PM

Indeed i did.

HummerMan 09.06.2006 12:31 AM

There is no flexing issues with the C/F? What do rocks do when they hit C/F when running? Does it mess up the laminate? Thanks guys, I really appreciate this all!

OH NO! Not another show truck:p look foreward to seeing it. I have a G2R and love it. Can Mike do a G2R kit with a CF chassis? I'm thinking about a new truck for the 7XL and 16024...maybe the 12XL. and was wondering if he could package the revo ends and tranny (Emaxx half case) with the CF chassis

jocktheglide 09.06.2006 02:01 AM

Im trying to to make a bling truck myself, but no metal bulkheads dang it.

crazyjr 09.06.2006 02:11 AM

I love show trucks, epsecially when they get dirty, but mine will never look that good, I'd be afraid to play with it, much less race it

Serum 10.10.2006 01:40 PM

It's not my intention to make a show truck out of it .. but it turns out nice than expected..
