Bomb-Proof Products
I was going through another forum and ran into this.
Has anyone seen or heard of this before, it looks interesting. http://bomb-proofproducts.com/home.htm |
Yeah, most people here knows about it. Squeeforever just got a Lightning truck modified by them.
The truck shown in the link, I guess its an Ofna CRT truggy?
Thanks captain, I was just wondering.
Yes, I've seen that chassis around somewhere before.

Yeah, only squees is carbon fibre.
it uses the LSP front/rear end. |
Ohh..I thought it was a CRT when I saw the shocks.
They did used another geometry on the shocktowers. they designed another tower for it.
The longest coming soon......... ever
Lol!
Yeah, that coming soon is taking a few years now... |
.... its a shame , as on paper it looks a great racing truck. paper dont win races though
Well, you could fold it up to put wings on it, then give it a good toss! LOL
ya i know...that was do out along time ago.......but only prototypes were made......at least he did say he has enough parts to build some people one...at least that is what was stated on maxxtraxxusa......unlike the infamous RAZORBACK....we wont go there.......couple of proto's...but not much more...
Razorback? Razorback??!! Ahh..the ol' forgotten Razor-damn-back.
Many nice truggies are out in the market today. Who needs a Razorback for God's sake? |
LOL...that's a good one man.....opportunity lost for them I would say...
Yeah, I think so.
exactly...I think i would take my emaxx with the slipperential ( when they are released ) any day...
But the razor back is a nitro running two speed center diff.
but i really don't we will ever see one in production...i highly doubt it...
The LSP on eBay which Squee won was mine...I don't know why they never went into full production but it was a very good E-MT/Truggy conversion. I raced many club races with it and won quite a bit. For the most part, it was very reliable and when I did break something, BPP send me several spares of that part. I do think it's downfall isn't so much a design problem or flaw, just that building it costs too much for most folks. I don't want to think about the original cost of mine...
Haha. Yea, thanks Mac! I just got it in today. Got it almost ready to run...Just gotta re-zero the servo and put the servo horn on it and charge up some batteries. It surprised me as to what you included! 3 sets of rims and tires, Racers Edge shock ends, shock socks, etc...WELL worth it. The truck is actually very easy to work on for the most part. It's just a little close between the battery bar and the motor...Mac, any chance that the part was the plastic piece in the rear? It was broken again. No biggie though. Had a spare in there and replaced it. I just don't thing they should have used plastic there...That one piece supports the whole rigidity of the chassis...Anywho, I should know how it runs in the next day or so :D
Glad you like it. I had spares for the truck and figured I could try to paun them off at the track or I could just give them to you, seemed like the right thing to do. Yes, it's that little plastic piece in the back...Brian said one of them was a new plastic - metal would be better. Good luck with it and enjoy.
Thanks! Yea, I think the grey plastic is stronger than the white. If I have a problem I might have Mike machine them out of aluminum.
Must be nice to have those kind of connections...
Mike could CNC you something if you needed. Shoot him a E-mail. By the way, could you tell me what fluids are in it? F/R shocks, F/C/R diffs, if you know what they are.
