Too Much Power from Dual BL! Need new idlers.
HELP! I ran my dulal BL today for the 4th time and my stock idler gears told me where to go. UE says they are still out of stock on their steel ones. Any other suggestions?
Thanks. |
I recently got a set of UE idlers from RC-Monster-Mike.
Now I would love to get a set of metal gears as well. Anybody any ideas on how to get this Ultramaxxed stuff?? |
i need the ldlers are well but no luck getting them in stock. So many people want them yet UE won't stock them, y?
|
That's bad.
It would be great if the tranny gears were better available. |
We can send a man to the moon, yet we cant get anybody to make some idlers?:L:
|
Dan of ultramaxxed made a small final run of the all metal tranny gears. I have two sets reserved of these gears. I will set one aside for you. The ultramaxxed gears include idlers. You are putting a lot of power through the tranny and are one of the few folks that actually NEED the ultramaxxed gears.
|
ill take the other one if its still available.... thanks
|
Tranny
I think that you might wanna consider a tranny out of a chevy or ford with that much power - :) - Must be a sight to see...
|
I would still be interested in the all metal tranny gears. Would pay a small fortune! LMK if you have an idea where I could get some.

Btw, I miss your old avatar.:D Although Caddy Shack is one of my all time favorites. |
The official reason why nothing is in stock at the UE store is that Monstermaxx is retooling another supplier, if you're willing to believe it.
|
I managed to find a pacakage of UE idlers NIB. I'm going to buy them. I will sell them for $60 lol. Otherwise I'm using them. I stripped my second gear today and my first was already toast.
|
Ahhh - stripped idlers.... the benefit of running Duals - or is it a drawback? Must be awesome to watch it go though - So i guess stripping everything is worth it - LOL
|
i have 1 UE steel idler that i dont need because i only run my tranny in second. if anyone wants it ill take 15 shipped for it, LMK
|
I'll take it. Are you on the UE forums as well? Thanks.
YGPM |
I'l take it if you haven't sold it
Anyone else need to get rid of one? |
sorry, i sold it to sforsancho, and yes, im on the UE forum too.
|
I had a similiar problem today, only difference is I stripped the diff gear. The stampedes' plastic diff only lasted 2 1/3 charges on 7 cells with an 8s. :L: :L: :L: :L:
http://img17.echo.cx/img17/6104/img05942vx.th.jpg Think you can work out some kind of deal to sell the steel diff gears the guy that owns Cold Fusion Racing has mike?:D |
i will talk to Andrew (Cold Fusion) and see if he is interested. I have a cold fusion steel diff in my pede. In the meantime, maybe you could loosen the slipper a touch?

OOps. :L: :L: :L: Oh well, I'll get this thing running good sooner or later. And now that I see the 8s in action, I'm glad you suggested it over the 6s I was thinking about. I definitely think the 6s would've been too much for it.:p |
I beleve thicker grease will help some. I ran my basic 4200 on 12 cells and NEVER had a problem (othere than stock drive shafts). Maybe I am lucky?
Mike: Does the steel diff, slow you down alot (by the added mass verses the stock)? |
I didn't notice any difference with the steel gear. I know I stripped quite a few gears before I went to the steel one, though.
