jhautz...the body is a kyosho inferno STR body, and it fits on the gmaxx chassis very nicely....

It looks just like mine! funny how it has changed from the bash! Even the wire cover is the same.....and the shock boots....

coolhandcountry 12.28.2006 11:41 AM

The wire covering makes it look neater.
Sounds and looks like a winner to me.

Serum 12.28.2006 11:56 AM

I ditched my racer-X and got the flexteks, otherwise my truck would look an awfull lot like this maxx too. (come to think of it)

Why did you do that?

Serum 12.28.2006 12:04 PM

too affraid to scratch the arms.. (hones as i am) now that sounds gay, right!?

Pillowballs that seem to brake with the smallest impact, i wanted more of a basher/racer than a pure racer.

Serum 12.28.2006 12:05 PM

Still have got the racer-x in stock though.. :p

neweuser 12.28.2006 12:08 PM

The wire cover is nice and neat yes. Very nice looking. I have 3 feet for 1.50 from my LHS

Which pillowballs did you use? Steel? Ti? Aluminum?

Serum 12.28.2006 12:14 PM

Steel ofcourse.. I heard from different users on the UE forum that this is the weak link on the racer-X.. Sneeck broke quite a few of them on his truck.. (perhaps it's a lack of driving skills :P or too high curbs.. arh well.. No worries IMO, you can use the other hex-head on the UE balls to got them out..

Procharged5.0 12.28.2006 12:16 PM

I guess it's a good thing that i have spares.

I have yet to break a pillow ball ever, only trees!:005:

Procharged5.0 12.28.2006 12:18 PM

Glad to hear that!

captain harlock 12.28.2006 12:21 PM

You didn't run your Racer-X yet, did you, Troy?

coolhandcountry 12.28.2006 12:23 PM

Hey rene. Does the 3.3 shafts fit the flex tech?

I wish! Had to wait for the slipperential, and now I am working on my fan mount for the heat sink. So little things are holding me up. Plus, my molded foams did not fit the MTR tires, so I have to trim those as well. I also need to wire up my Neu as well. Some many little things, and with school, that really got in the way of it all. On top of all that, I also am building my RC18T! :019:
Should be done before next friday I would assume, maybe sooner I hope.
Have you ran the slipper yet capt'n?

sjcrss 12.28.2006 12:51 PM

trust me man, it will get there in time...just be patient.....all I can run mine with right now are NIMH's....can't wait till lipo's, and yes it sure has changed from the bash, to what it is now.....and I'm very happy how it turned out as well......

Not yet. I'm just as crazy as you are. Just today, I managed to complete 95%of my truck.

It is absolutely different from my old dude.

This is how it used to be( you can't see the whole car, though) as well as my cat:

Nice truck. It should be even better with the UE suspension. You only need patience for now.

Make note that the pic is of Phase.1.

Phase.2 should take a while befor I could introduce it to everyone.

Thanks, your truck is very nice though! Are you running VBS?

coolhandcountry 12.28.2006 02:09 PM

Cool trucks. I like both.

Serum 12.28.2006 02:20 PM

Leroy; the 3.3 shafts would most likely fit the flextecs. Not sure though, bit it looks like they are good to go.

coolhandcountry 12.28.2006 02:23 PM

Ok thanks rene.
