neweuser 12.29.2006 12:26 PM

Got a pic of it?

Procharged5.0 12.29.2006 12:27 PM

Not too familiar with the FG. Pics would def. help!

MetalMan 12.29.2006 01:42 PM

That's a 1/5 scale, right? It would take some pretty serious cash to convert that thing!

gizzmo79 12.29.2006 01:58 PM

yep thats a 1/6 scale
Yes i know it costs

coolhandcountry 12.29.2006 02:31 PM

I think you going to have to make motor mount and stuff.
You will probably need a good size motor for it aswell. It sounds like a cool project.

GriffinRU 12.29.2006 04:11 PM

Are you planning to run 2WD or 4WD?

jollyjumper 12.29.2006 05:51 PM

how does this sound?
lehner 2280?
powerful enough for 1/6 monster truck?
on 10s lipo?!?

coolhandcountry 12.29.2006 06:48 PM

I had a 2250. It was a powerful motor. The 2280 on 10s would be awesome.

gizzmo79 12.29.2006 08:00 PM

what kind of ecs do i us with 10s lipo?????
Yes i've found out that the 2280/? would do the jobb, I have also found some germans who make the konversion kitt, I'm only going to run with 2wd

coolhandcountry 12.29.2006 08:11 PM

I never ran 10s lipo yet. I got a project now That is going to try 12s. I really hope everything works ok. I may just go 10s instead. I have no worries there.

gizzmo79 12.29.2006 08:22 PM

but what kind of ecs do you use?

Sylvester 12.29.2006 08:49 PM

He is using the 36120.

gizzmo79 12.29.2006 09:23 PM

What does the folks in here think of this ecs:
http://www.onefive.de/shop/jjeo/produkte/pEO552.htm
Followd up by a lehener 2250/8 with 6s lipo
Will it hold the power enoughe?
How does that sound?

jollyjumper 12.30.2006 03:12 PM

how many volts?
cuz 1480kv is alot.
26 cc engines run only 20k rpm.

gizzmo79 12.30.2006 03:28 PM

the plan was 22.2V

jollyjumper 12.30.2006 04:50 PM

personally i think that wouldnt work, the gasser runs 20k rpm so i think you need a BL motor that runs 20k rpm.:032:
or you need to change the gearing alot.
but with 1/6th your limited to pinions and spurs.:035:

gizzmo79 12.30.2006 04:54 PM

i know

coolhandcountry 12.30.2006 05:04 PM

I think i would aim for like a 8s so you won't need as many amps.

MetalMan 12.31.2006 12:41 AM

Yeah, 6s Lipo might be a little low for voltage. Like CHC said, 8s should work.

BigSushi 12.31.2006 05:23 AM

Here you go one already for sale (onroad) but will give you some ideas

The Castle Creations Phoenix-110 High Voltage ESC are thay any god?
Its cheep but are they useable?

Serum 01.06.2007 03:18 PM

Just do a search on phoenix on this forum, and you'll see a few threads about this controller.

It's a nice controller, but you most likely need a stick transmitter, and you need the mechanical brake to stop the monster.
