best MT manufacturer?
pick your vote
|
Traxxas!!!!!!
I would pick Losi 2nd! |
I would have to say Traxxas, MGT's are nice to I guess, but never owned one.
|
I would have to say Traxxas as well. By "best", I'm thinking overall quality, overall performance, price, manufacturer support, parts availability, aftermarket support, and online resources.
|
i've had a e-maxx and really didnt like it.
not the quality and strenght i need. |

Sorry buddy. I've worked so many hours this week I think I'm "losing it". Know what I mean! :005: What brand/model is it? For some reason i don't recognize it..................must be the sleep deprivation...help me out here! LOL! |
Traxxas!:)
always wondered how to make a pole? |
NFW! What model? I don't recognize it at all!
|
its a kyosho twin force.
i think its sweet. def gonna mod the hell out out of it. and yeah, i know that, working to much. i understand completly.:D |
Have you seen the head-to-head between the Twin-Force and the E-Maxx?
http://www.rccaraction.com/articles/...evsemaxx_1.asp |
yep:D
|
The emaxx didn't edge it out by much.
The twin accually had it by catergory. I know some one that has one. He loves it. |
but that only how they handle, not strenght.
if you need to upgrade e-maxx to 1/8th drivetrain and all the other stuff, is very expensive.:026: also not so good here at lhs' for traxxas parts. they dont have anything in stock.:mad:1 |
Yeah no parts suck. Then again it must be nice to have something in there.
I buy everything off the internet. I live in the sticks and don't know where hobby shop is. Oh well. Price you pay for peace and quiet. :D |
Wow did not expect a tie but i still like the maxx WAY more tuning options but the twin force is pretty darn cool it is like a 2 in one rock climber and basher pretty cool but i am STILL a Maxx Guy.
|
I like the E-Maxx too, but I rather Japanese precision over anything in this world. Not that I'm ready for argument, though.
Leroy, you're referring to Promod's Twin Force, aren't you? |
i see that this forum has lots of traxxas lovers.
i do understand that if you have easy parts access. but traxxas didnt work out for me. captian, what do you mean actually, i dont quite understand what your saying. |
Losi all the way baby :dft012:
someones gotta represent :D pinolelst |
Japanese designs are the best from my humble point of view. Out of the Box, E-maxx needs lots of modifications to make it a good vehicle, but I found the TNX to be waaaaay better in design. TAMIYA rules, dude..:)
|
well traxxas wins this one!
|
Accually no captian.
I talk to another guy reg. He has like two or three of them. He says it is the best truck he owns. It takes a beating and keeps coming. He hasn't posted so long on here I forgot his name. I got him on msn though. :D |
ok, i understand now.:D
go japan! |
i have to say im a traxxas guy and absolutely love my emaxx even though it did take a lot of mods to get it how it is now
|
Traxxas all the way! I hear a lot of people talk about"Japanese precision" but that doesn't reallyt hold water. I own 3 kyoshos and 1 Tyamia, so don't think I havn't been there and done that. Anything worth having is going to require upgrades, and if you don't break anything, your not running it hard enough!
|
I wanted to get my son into RC, so I got him an RC18T. Within 10 minutes of getting it, he broke a shock; and that was just the start of it. Then I got him a T4, he kept breaking arms. What can I say? He's 8 and has too much of me in him. The last thing I gave him is a Monster GT that I converted to brushless. I made it first gear only. The whole truck is stock, including the steering servo. The only thing I did to the tranny was the first gear thing and I took out all of the reverse plumbing. He's been running it a couple of weeks and I haven't had to replace anything but a 2nd gear shaft and a couple of rod ends. In my book, it's the best because it does what a monster truck is supposed to. It goes over, through, or up just about anything that gets in its way.
|
I'd say Traxxas hands down...they revolutionized MT's with the T-Maxx and E-Maxx, and they did it again with the Revo. Traxxas all the way.
I've seen some Revo's beat truggies, and I find that alone just completely insane. |
Traxxas
+1 |
Yep, Traxxas is awesome, but in my opinion, Associated is right there with them. My LHS doesn't sell Losi, so I don't know much about them.
|
lol no i dont think so, the monster gt cant do more then a tmaxx.... there on stadium trucks are OK but losi wins there, there onroads arent to good, cant comment on the tc5, but looks like a cyclone rip off imo, but there pan cars are sweet =)
but TRAXXAS ALL THE WAY!!!!! |
