BlackedOutREVO 02.06.2007 08:59 PM

O M F G!!!!!!!!!

now i might need a savage!!! how much did it cost??

TruckBasher 02.06.2007 11:01 PM

Great work....i love savage
I wish i have access to those machines so i can make my custom work....I can only buy online :( ....In Singapore, even 1:1 scale cars have no custom shops...prohibited by government....extreme mod that is.

coolhandcountry 02.06.2007 11:33 PM

That is cool. Welcome to the forum to. I like the truck.

jhautz 02.07.2007 01:24 AM

VERY nice Savage you are building there. What is your plan for mounting the ESC?

I really like page 9 of that thread. It showed how the torsen difs worked. I always wondered how they worked. Rather complicated little suckers....

manulesurfeur 02.07.2007 02:38 AM

Hi!
Thanks a lot for all your comments.
I'm not good in English, that's why I have not done a complete post here, but I will try to do an effort when the Savage will be assembled.
This chassis is a prototype for hard tests :027: .
When all is good it will be realised in Dural (3 mm)

I'm waiting the rest of the pieces like :
- Genesis diffs
- Bulkheads Hybrid FLM (ordered here :005: )
- IRC new kit for mounting LST shocks
- HPI arms and shock tower
...

The body is a "Power Body". There are extremly hard to find.

jollyjumper 02.07.2007 05:12 AM

just FYI:
torsen diff WILL break in MT's<= according to UE.

jhautz 02.08.2007 12:53 AM

Not planning on using a torsen diff. I was just interested to see how they worked.

dardevil 02.08.2007 04:28 AM

hello mr manulesurfer

Serum 02.08.2007 04:49 AM

Nice!

do you like the IRC shocks? i thought about getting them for my basher.

for those that are interested; i drawed a lower plate thats a direct bolt-on for the FLM extended chassis. the only problem i personally thought it had, is that the batteries are sitting relative wide.

Dafni 02.08.2007 05:43 AM

This past weekend I tested a converted Savage, it had a Kyosho LSD Diff installed in the front. Guess what, the LSD survived not even 10 minutes!!
(granted, LSD and Torsen is not the same)

Very nice Savage, manulesurfeur. I like it.

Serum 02.08.2007 05:46 AM

Got pics of that savage Daf?

Dafni 02.08.2007 06:01 AM

Thought you'd ask :)

You know the owner, maybe you'll recognize the nitro in one of the pics in this
thread:

Serum 02.08.2007 06:15 AM

Cool! I recognize the other flextek savage, i think i know who the owner of the bl savage is.. :) (considering his shocktower mod :P) good to see that mod lasted longer than the revo shock-mod...

i knew it would be something like this! you alway liked the lipo's inside the chassis design.. Nice..! Very, very nice...!

manulesurfeur 02.08.2007 04:03 PM

Hi have not IRC shocks, only the kit for mounting LST shocks (Hi have desanodized them).
On maximummt, some members have bought IRC shocks and they are very satisfed.

(I hope you will excuse my english :018: !)

Serum 02.08.2007 04:15 PM

No worries, thanks for the information.

i like IRC shocks a lot, they look well built.

mic 02.09.2007 06:44 AM

Hi BL-mens,
We designed this chassis with Manulesurfeur for a BL conversion for the savage.
The material used is 2017A aluminium. It is very dificult to form, too strong and when we try to fold it, it just brake.:026:
We did lot of tests, and we find a system to form the aluminium with a big round.

Manulesurfeur will try this chassis with his Hacker BL and we are going to make some chassis plates thicker to be stronger !!! :032:

flyers6667 02.09.2007 03:57 PM

Really good work.
Mic has designed a Savo (i found the name really funny) because inspired of the REVO gorilla chassis and the Savage chassis.

I think that this system is reliable, you should find the best mean to kill our revos (Dardevil, Crazygun and me are waiting for your lil' baby).

I'm very impatient to see your truck in the next weeks.

Great job boy, i'm looking for the next adventures of the Black fury.
And when you see the body on the Chassis, what a design !! :018:

Manulesurfeur told me the body is so ugly he doesn't know how to hide it because his neighbours still laugh at him !!:027: :027: :027: :027:

Serum 02.09.2007 04:18 PM

Distract the neighbors by running after the savage naked... It helps.. guaranteed...

Pierre 02.22.2007 03:24 PM

Hello Manu
your project is very beautiful !!!
can you make other vidéo please ?

manulesurfeur 02.22.2007 03:49 PM

Not for the moment...
We have a problem with the motor mount plate (post updated on my first link).

Pierre 02.22.2007 05:56 PM

when you have a new vidéo post it in mmt (photo et vidéo )
bye
