UltraMaxxed Gen II
Nope, that's a first class fraud.
http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...5&page=1&pp=40 check this thread and look at the 'free bonus' he included with it. Stay away from them, they are probably weaker than the stockers.. Check his reputation on ebay, you'll see more negative posts about him and all auctions are 'private' let it go, that's my advice. |
k thanx i was about to buy that too if no one responed soon
also all the Ultramaxxed gear sets used a brass idler, plus the Gen III's had the pin insert into the gears so the metal to metal contact wouldn't wear on the aluminum gears...
i reported them as fraud on ebay.
you da man......
not meant sceptical i presume?
I'm still surprised no one else has stepped in to offfer a quality set of gears in Ultramaxx'x absense.
no it was not meant skeptical.....
Would "U da anteater" sound less skeptical Rene??? :005:
wow did not know they made those gears (2nd and other trans gears) cool are they expensuve and can i order them from ue or where
They are out of production now, and everyonce in awhile you find them on ebay, and they normally go for 200.00 plus....
Actually...the last time I saw genuine UltraMaxxed internals was when they were part of a whole transmission. I think the tranny went for over 400 bucks.
Yeah, they cost an awfull lot more in their original shape!!
What are you guys talking about? They are real ultramaxxed gears for sure, at a hella good price. If I had an emaxx I'd probably buy them at that price, you cant even make them for that. And why is this in the UE section, they have nothing to do with UE.
I think you maybe mistaken, and yes I know that your were one of the testers for Dan, as so was I......the point I was making is that the idlers are not made from the special alloy ( it was brass looking) that he used in the GEN II's & III's of which I have owned a set of each, heck I still have just a set of the idlers still kicking around here,
ahh, yea, didnt see the Gen2 label, but they are Gen 1's. The ones pictured will last a lifetime though, the newer idlers were better though just for a wear standpoint. I wouldnt worry bout it what so ever, if you need gears....those are a bargain. As long as he actually ships everything, you cant go wrong with that set up (cvds are probably junk and are good for just reselling). So if you get $40 out of the cvds, you are in a set of indestructable gears for $50...when the UE idler alone is $30, no brainer there guys.
Bomb, if you just took a second and read the post on the UE forum and compared the 'free items' bonus you know enough. the idlers are aluminum instead of brass. while you are at it, do a search for ultramaxxed on ebay, and you will notice the very same auction by a guy in the UK.. and the UK guy sold 2 of them already, so with these, that's a total of 4 gen II ultramaxxed.. still a believer?
look at both users feedback on ebay, and you'll see some WEIRD negative comments from several other users. 100 percent FALSE.. plain simple... Now before someone believe you and buys them, please read the posts and report back. |
The guy can be and probably is a scammer, I didnt research it, I was commenting on the gears not the individual. I had some with aluminum idlers at one point. It would be possible to have 4 sets floating around also.
I see.. he already sold two sets as the UK user.. with these two, he had 4 sets of them.. Hard to believe IMO..
The gear sets were not cheap (any generation) and to see that many NEW sets this many years after Dan lost the shop and stopped making them is VERY UNLIKELY in my opinion.
Wish it were true! I'd buy a set! |
I had several new sets myself after the fact, but they are long gone now. They are the only thing that makes a E-maxx trans desirable IMO. But ya, could very well be a scam. The gears are correct though, they are not fakes.
anyone seen theses yet?

LOL!! they look just as real... Nice find.. from now on, you are know as gundam sherlock guy...
They look just as real as the first ones.. |
those are the coated ones, I have had a set of those as well. They are not titanium of course. I dont think they are knock offs (for one, if he was capable...he would have countless places to sell them). If someone went through all the trouble to make them, they would be selling them...major steps involved in making them. He stole the pics from somewhere.
both auctions are same person (all photos on photobucket as well) Also note the CVDs are for a T-maxx anyway. |
hes back at it with 2 more sets up and one is a buy it now for 130

thats false advertising, they are E-maxx gears NOT T-maxx, so why does he say E/T- maxx gears? some people:mad:1
Anybody wanna put money on it that they are simply RC4WD.com gears? Which are NOT titanium btw.
What a coincidence- I was looking at those not 10 minutes ago. The 'titanium' set are just ordinary ultra-maxxed style gears, and so to are the other set- RC4wd idlers dont have holes drilled into them to save wait. Making up that story about having them custom made by an areo space firm is rather interesting, a total lie, but rather interesting..... Some people will do anything to get a sale; I think I'll report him too for good measure.
Edit: Take a look at this- http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r78/enerpack/? How handy, he uses the same pics for all his listings. I believe the gears are real- more to the point, the photo is, but the stuff he's actually selling and sends to you is that shiney looking alluminum crap. |
Squee; the rc4wd's are aluminum, and look completely different. the other sets he is selling are 90 bucks, including the driveshafts. They are aluminum.
I have a few sets of Cro-moly idlers lying around ,the best ive ever used
Stopped worrying about idlers since the slipperential..
I actually sold my set of GEN III ultramaxxed gears so I could fund my gmaxx & slipperential.....
