Sylvester 02.14.2007 09:57 AM

Nice find! Look very similar to lehners.. thats for sure!

jollyjumper 02.14.2007 09:59 AM

hey, thanks.
isnt it nice:004:

Sylvester 02.14.2007 10:01 AM

I like the pic that shows around 30 motors on the table.. i wish i worked there! :)

jollyjumper 02.14.2007 10:03 AM

hehe, i'd like to get a nue 15 series someday.

glassdoctor 02.14.2007 10:32 AM

Wow... that coke can size motor is cool. What it needs is an HPI Baja 5B.....

Sylvester 02.14.2007 10:33 AM

Yea.. just like the 2250! I wonder what the lehner 3080 compares to... hmm:)

well here's a 3060, look at the size, 60mm thick and 100mm long.

Sylvester 02.14.2007 10:47 AM

I love how that motor looks.. i think that would be crazy with 12s lipo in a BAJA 5B.

jollyjumper 02.14.2007 10:49 AM

you'd need a 12mm thick motor mount.:D

Sylvester 02.14.2007 10:54 AM

No problem! The real challenge would be the pinion! 12mm pinions! ;)

jollyjumper 02.14.2007 11:00 AM

i tought it was 10mm shaft?
also the pitch of a 1/5th gears would be difficult to obtain.

Sylvester 02.14.2007 11:01 AM

Sorry, i didnt check the shaft dia. so i didnt really know, just guessed, but even so, 10mm is BIG!

jollyjumper 02.14.2007 11:03 AM

that is one thick shaft;)

Sylvester 02.14.2007 11:05 AM

Twice as thick as the 1950... Just to throw this out there, the lehners have a HARD shaft, when i was on the mill making a flat spot on the shaft it was really giving it problems! I cant imagine how hard it would be on the 3060/80!

jollyjumper 02.14.2007 11:11 AM

they do have a thick hard shaft, dont they?
this is going the wrong way;)

Batteries/cells of some sort....a123 cells stacked ???

pinolelst

neweuser 02.14.2007 03:57 PM

That is what I was thinking as well.

jollyjumper 02.14.2007 04:27 PM

would they be testing something new?
or is it just what you guys think, a123 cells?
:032:

neweuser 02.14.2007 05:25 PM

Just what I think. I also think that they are testing the motors and inspecting them as it looks to be....

Nick 02.14.2007 07:54 PM

What's their factory address? I might "drop by" one night.

jollyjumper 02.15.2007 12:21 PM

how would a BK wanderer 10XL compare to a nue of the same size and Kv?

neweuser 02.15.2007 12:32 PM

The Neu is a 4 pole motor, the BK is a 2 pole. The Neu would be much more efficient than the wanderer motor.

jollyjumper 02.15.2007 12:38 PM

that would mean it would run longer and cooler right?
also, do you feel difference in throttle response?

Sylvester 02.15.2007 01:09 PM

This is not a neu comparison but ill tell you my story.
I ran a 10L in my G2R with a 9220 and i was mad because i could not run over 5 min without it over heating. I switched over to a 1950/7 and it ran cool enough to run and run all day long, it also made a huge difference in esc temperatures. It also had a more "crisp" throttle responce and WAY better brakes.
Im sure the neu will have a better throttle responce since it is more effiecent. And yes, it will run cooler/longer.

jollyjumper 02.15.2007 01:10 PM

isnt 10l too small for revo?
i really dont wanna end up with a setup that overheats or something.:002:

Sylvester 02.15.2007 01:12 PM

Yea, but this was a while ago and the XL's were out of stock so i just went with a 10L on 14 cells. Let me tell you, it was fast, but it was a PITA to run. There is NO comparison to the 1950 Vs 10L.

jollyjumper 02.15.2007 01:13 PM

thanks for sharing that good info.;)
