Broke my carb in big crash

Hi I broke my .26 Sportwerks carb in a big crash today and I bent my New Era chassis also.
I would like to know if I can use another company carb?

hevymetl 05.15.2005 09:21 PM

Sportwerks is the same as Mach , also same design as XTM big blocks. Been swapping carbs between these same 3 motors all Spring. SH bigblocks share backplates, but I honestly don't know about the carbs.

Daniel Murray 05.15.2005 09:34 PM

Thank you for the info

Daniel Murray 07.06.2005 10:24 PM

In the long run I found out that I cracked my engine now I am looking for a new BIG BLOCK.
Any one with any info on BIG BLOCK??

RC-Monster Mike 07.06.2005 10:51 PM

I have a new Infinity .27 pull start motor I have been dying to test. It is NIB waiting for me to test it to determine if they run well enough for me to list on the site and sell.
I can get Sirio, Picco, Ofna motors for you, daniel. I have an Ofna .21 Hyper 8 port .21 pullstart in stock (though you may be looking for the Bigger big blocks!).
Sounds like you had a he@# of a crash! Any carb that fits the block should work, although I guess tht is a moot point, now, huh!

RC-Monster Mike 07.06.2005 10:51 PM

A buddy of mine swears by the .26 picco, but I haven't run one myself (I will say that his do RIP).

Mike I am Looking for 2.6 HP or more than 36,000 rpm Motor.I had so much lowend power with the Sportwerks that at half throttle I could back flip my TNX. So I hope with a higher RPM engine I could also get more top end.
MY Sportwerks made 2.75hp at 33,000 RPM.
Any help would be alsome!!

Mike I can not fine Nitro engines in the store on line?
Daniel Murray

braaap11889 07.06.2005 11:32 PM

eb modded xrp that engine RIPS comes with a price though.

RC-Monster Mike 07.07.2005 06:25 AM

I haven't got the nitro engines listed yet, Daniel. I am re organizing the site and then I will list MANY new items in the store. The .27 says 40000 rpms in the specs, but not sure of the horsepower. I am sure it has enough HP to pull your truck around quite easily.

Daniel Murray 07.07.2005 09:01 AM

Mike do you have any Pricing on you engines?
Daniel Murray

RC-Monster Mike 07.07.2005 06:07 PM

$135 for the .27 pullstart and about the same for the Ofna Hyper.21 8 port(al;so a pullstart). I will look into some of the other engines for you as well.

mike, what would be a really powerful engine for a revo? something at a good price. i would have to be a pullstart and would have to be a good engine to race with. im looking for something at a good price and something that will outperform the o.s. .18tz

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 12:06 AM

The .18tz is a serious motor. Probably would have to go with a medium block .21 or the sirio .23 to beat that! I am not sure on the prices, but I can find out.

squeeforever 07.08.2005 12:56 AM

i can get a starterbox w/2 gell cells and a wasp .28 with mount, header, flywheel, ect. for 200. the motor had about a half gallon through it. would that be a good motor for my revo?

Serum 07.08.2005 02:20 AM

You need a conversion kit as well. I would not buy a used nitro, or it must be from someone i knew.

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 06:15 AM

The .28 would rip the revo apart(diffs, tranny would be on the endangered species list). I wouldn't even consider this motor for a Revo. I don't even run a motor that big in my Lightning Stadium, which can put down a lot more power than a Revo.

Daniel Murray 07.08.2005 06:26 AM

Mike do you have any info on the Infinity .27 pull start motor like specs
thanks
Daniel Murray

No HP ratings, but these are somewhat useless anyways on most motors, as everyone uses a different method to rate their motors.

Daniel Murray 07.08.2005 06:58 PM

Mike do you have any photos of it?
Daniel Murray

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 07:28 PM

I e-mailed you a picture, Daniel (too large to post).

Daniel Murray 07.08.2005 07:56 PM

Thanks, Mike It looks like a nice engine. Is the head small it looks like it? How do you think it would compare to hyper 8 port .21
I just wish I new more on the .27 engine have not heard much on them!!
Thank you,
Daniel Murray

Daniel Murray 07.08.2005 07:59 PM

Mike I am looking for a good all around engine with lots of power in all the useable RPM.Also one that I do not have to retune every I run my truck and not a pain in the a$$ to get started!
Any input would be great!!!
Thank you,
Daniel Murray

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 09:00 PM

I know the hyper engines run very well and also hold a tune very well. I will strap the .27 into my truggy and break it in this weekend if I get the time. I wil let you know how it goes!

squeeforever 07.08.2005 09:18 PM

mike what would be a good engine for my revo? something around 150ish and would have a good allaround powerband. something to maybe race with.

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 09:24 PM

Nothing wrong with the stock motor. IMO, it is one of the best smallblock motors out there. If you break it in properly, it will run strong, long! The RDLogics high end pipe wakes it up quite a bit as well. I have an o.s. tm .18 in my Revo. O.S. simply rocks, if you ask me. The best running, easiest to tune engines out there. The O.S. needs taller gearing to make the speed, though.

squeeforever 07.08.2005 09:36 PM

whats the difference between the tz and tm? also what is your price on one of them? (pullstart)

Daniel Murray 07.08.2005 09:54 PM

The TZ is a turbo head and glow plug.
The tm is not just your #8 O.S plug HOT

Thank you and let me no!!! If you can compare it to other engine so I may know how it is.
Also would you say the head is as big as .247 head or sportwerks,or a wasp just so I no the size? It just looks small to me?
Thanks again Mike
Daniel Murray

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 10:04 PM

The head is smaller tha the .247 pro head for sure. It is about the size of a regular .21 head.

Daniel Murray 07.08.2005 10:07 PM

Do you no who makes the engine for them or is it theres?

RC-Monster Mike 07.08.2005 10:10 PM

Team Infinity makes the motors, as far as I know. RDLogics distributes and sells them.

squeeforever 07.08.2005 11:47 PM

so which would be the better of the two? the tm or the tz?

Daniel Murray 07.09.2005 12:17 AM

The TZ Makes 2.3HP and the TM makes 1.6HP

Daniel Murray 07.09.2005 10:54 PM

RC-Monster Mike 07.09.2005 11:59 PM

I can look into the prices on those motors, but the hyper 8 port race motor doesn't have a pullstart(which you need if I am not mistaken). I have the hyper 8 port with the pullstart in stock already. The picco is a good motor as well, with gobs of torque(a buddy of mine runs it in his truggy). I will find out about the prices for you.

Mike

Daniel Murray 07.14.2005 07:55 PM

Mike did you run the .27 engine?
Daniel Murray

RC-Monster Mike 07.14.2005 08:47 PM

Not yet, Daniel. Sorry! I have the clutch and header/pipe installed and ready to drop in, but I haven't had a free moment to strap it in and break it in. I promise it will be done this weekend. I plan on racing all weekend, so we shall see how the motor holds up/runs. I promise to get back to you as soon as I can speak to this motors performance.
