Here are some more pictures...Sorry for the poor quality. Lighting wasn't at its best as well as they were taken with my phone...

I bet the pictures just don't do it justice. Bu from the looks of it, very, very nice job. :027:
That last picture is just too funny with the micro-t on its wing. :005: |
They really don't. I'm gonna try and get some better pictures tomorrow after school.

Looks great Squee! you are using the truerc's in 1P?
Currently working on a stock revo too. they are nice to convert IMO. |
Thanks! That is actually a TrueRC 8000mah 3S2P pack. I plan on getting either a 8000mah 4S2P pack from them, or a 10000mah 4S1P pack from Maxamps. Then when I get a G3R chassis I will get another pack of either, depending on which one I choose and put them in parallel.

Cool revo Squee!
I think I might do a revo now rather than a aftershock, if things work out. The one thing I am concerned with is the diffs though, how strong are they? Will they hold up to a 1515 1y with 4s? Bye:018: |
I wouldn't worry about the diffs since the 1/8th conversion is due out pretty soon.
|
Hey Squee, could you please post a close up of the motor mount with out he motor? I need to get some ideas for a mount of my own...
Thanks Bye:018: |
Sure. I'll try and get them tonight. All I did was take a piece of aluminum angle and trace the shape of the E-Maxx motor cutouts. Worked pretty well. I'm thinking of getting one from Griffin, I believe, that is similar to the stocker. Its pretty a pretty cool idea, actually.

BTW how thick is your motor mount? Bye:018: |
I would say about 3.5mm or so. It doesn't seem thick, but it doesn't flex whatso ever. Brians mount for his CRT .5 looks just like mine as far as how its make, except his is tied into the center diff holder. He even used the E-Maxx motor plate as a template like I did.

Squee,
Nice work. How's the rear only brake working out? As you may have seen I have this feature in my CRT conversion still in progress. So I am curious how it worked out and how hard it was to tune. thx |

ahhhh, i c. Actually, my plan would have 4 wheel brakes but I'd use the motor to brake the front and a servo brake for the rear.
|
Well I have yet to run it unfortunately. I should be able to run in tomorrow or the next day when my ESC and slipper arrive. It shouldn't be to hard to tune. The way I'm running it, its gonna have front and rear brakes that can be tuned seperately, which is a main benifit of the center diff in the tranny. I'll let you know ASAP as to how it works with the mechanical brakes. I always liked mechanical brakes more than ESC brakes. The only part I'm remotely concerned about is how it will hande the power when it shifts into second...
