Very nice. I want one but I have to focus on my 5T first.

jnev 03.26.2007 11:47 PM

Just saw ti this afternoon. That is so awesome. Now I won't have to send in my future rc's for him to make a motor mount for it. Can't wait until there are more out. :027:

rchippie 03.27.2007 12:12 AM

Very nice i wonder if he has plans for the MUGEN MBX5T.

It would be nice.

jollyjumper 03.27.2007 01:08 AM

some one has to ask him if an ofna hyper 7/8 mount fits a mugen.
cuz i know he will do those. but i asume the ofna and hotbodies and kyosho mount have the same hole pattern.:032:

I intend to add a few different "applications" to the motor mount family each week as time permits. I have a nitro Revo(stock chassis) motor mount and the Hot Bodies LSP mounts working now, and plan to get them done and listed this week. Some applications will likely require a 2 piece setup for ideal center diff positioning, and I also will develop an "easy to install" battery tray in somewhat generic form to make these conversions simple, affordable, and easily attainable for the average hobbiest looking to make the move to the wonderful world of electricity! :)
The mounts will likely "update" along the way as time permits as well, but I want to get some stuff to market for now and work on improvements later.
As always, thanks to everyone for their support. :)

p.s. - I plan to make a few diff adapters for the ofna 51 tooth spur as well(I have a Mugen design done, and Ofna crt and HB diff adapters about 1/2 done). These new products will all be listed in the "RC-Monster Products" section of the site for now - check weekly, as I will try my best to broaden the range of vehicles.
Also, I have considered making the 3 piece mount that is popular(found on a few Hyper buggies and mugen buggies) in generic form(finished except for lower mounting holes) - these would require the customer to make the final hole positions (drilling and tapping the final mount holes in the bottom for chassis mounting) - this may leave some folks out, but others can easily drill and tap their own holes, but have a "ready made" setup for installation - any thoughts or requests for this type of product?

That is great Mike! In the CRT mount, the text refers to two pictures, but I only see one...

I know about the Revo one you are talking about. :)

I think your next mount should be the CRT.5. ;)

RC-Monster Mike 03.27.2007 11:29 AM

I can only add 2 pictures(1 for the general listing page and one for the actual product listing), so I choose to show the mount style I personally prefer.
I could probably post both "mock up" pictures here, though.

The crt.5 is on the short list. :)

Aragon 03.27.2007 11:35 AM

Good work. I would have taken one 2 months ago. :p :) You should publish the weight of it too btw.

RC-Monster Mike 03.27.2007 11:35 AM

Here is the "front left" position mock up. It has limits to the battery pack size, but a standard 6 cell pack or the Maxamps packs shown could be squeezed in there. :)

BrianG 03.27.2007 12:04 PM

What you could do is put both (or more) images in one actual picture and just put a little "whitespace" between each to seperate them...

rc4x4nut 03.27.2007 01:20 PM

Excellent work Mike. I cant wait to see what else you have up your sleeves.

Mr.lst 03.27.2007 01:39 PM

Yea Like my lst mount, it been in the works for 2 months now.

RC-Monster Mike 03.27.2007 01:56 PM

LOL. I know, Jose! I see I missed your call earlier, too - call me at the 845 number - I am here. :)

Electric Dave 03.27.2007 02:59 PM

Bravo! I'm so glad you have made this! Hope it brings lots of people into the Electric family.

Great mike, this will sertainly help many.

jollyjumper 03.27.2007 04:25 PM

does this fit the buggy (x1 cr fte) or does the buggy require a different mount?

pb4ugo 03.27.2007 05:38 PM

The buggy and truck use the same factory mount. The only difference is the amount of spacer area on the steel posts. If this is CRT height, all you'd need are the accompanying posts for the other side.

jnev 03.27.2007 09:26 PM

Awesome work Mike like always. I know how I will be choosign my next brushless project.... lol. I don't have the tools to make a mount at home. Never the less, even if I did have the tools, the mount wouldn't turn out as good as yours. :027:

nl12 03.28.2007 08:39 AM

Does this mount work with the neu motors with built in heat sinks?

rchippie 04.13.2007 10:32 PM

When using this mount could 2 - 7 cell packs fit behind the diff ?. Also what size spur is being used 46t or 51t ?. I'm asking because i can get a brand new never been on the track crt for $300.00 . Also does this mount work with rthe NEU line of motors ?.

squeeforever 04.13.2007 10:39 PM

I would assume it would be the Kyosho spur since it will bolt right up to the CRT center diff. It should work with the Neu's as well...

HotnCold 04.14.2007 08:25 AM

You are correct squee - the neu will fit....

Serum 04.14.2007 08:31 AM

isn't it wonderful .. :p
