V2 slipperential sneak peak

2 Attachment(s)
Still waiting for the updated G-maxx products before going into production to ensure proper fit and drive shaft lengths, but here are a couple snapshots of the prototype. The pictures aren't the greatest(I need a better camera), but you can hopefully see the genral layout. One picture shows the top down view - the other shows the motor adjustment arrangement, which is accessed through the lower side of the truck. :)

BP-Revo 03.27.2007 11:14 AM

That looks sweet! Great job Mike!

RC-Monster Mike 03.27.2007 11:38 AM

Thanks. :) I may make a central motor mount for the Maxx version, but the version shown allows the motor to clear the Revo shocks and will fit the standard motors as well as the larger Neu motors. :)
My favorite feature is the motor mount - it uses 4 screws to attach the motor(twice as strong, especially for the shallow Lehner motors) to the mount, but the mount adjusts from the bottom, similar to a nitro motor. :)

BlackedOutREVO 03.27.2007 12:04 PM

SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!

thats very awsome man!

captain harlock 03.27.2007 05:16 PM

Are you still a student?

Is the new slippy made for the revo specifically or can it be used on the maxx?

neweuser 03.27.2007 05:28 PM

crazyjr 03.27.2007 09:32 PM

Hey mike, Can the motor plate be made for a 2250

jnev 03.27.2007 09:38 PM

Nice design Mike. Now if only I owned a Maxx or revo....

crazyjr 03.28.2007 02:03 AM

One thing i forgot, Are you going to set up a plate for the esc? A revo is a hard chassis to set anything up.

jeffmowens 03.28.2007 09:40 AM

Did I read a post that Mike was working on an LSP motor mount too? I know a couple guys in these forums who would buy. ;)

captain harlock 03.28.2007 10:18 AM

How much would the V2 Slippy cost? The same as the V1?

crazyjr 03.28.2007 04:24 PM

I'm intrested in the lsp motor plate to

gixxer 03.29.2007 03:43 AM

that looks sweet and its good to see new products coming out just in time for the season to start.

cemetery gates 03.29.2007 04:10 PM

Since we are off topic here a little bit already, I read in another post that mike was going to make a motor mount for a stock chassis revo. Does anyone know about it? (I'm pretty interested in one...)

BTW nice revo slipperential mike! I'm waiting for the V3 drop in one for truggys/buggys...

Bye:018:

Procharged5.0 03.29.2007 07:23 PM

Looks good Mike!

Snug fit on the diff huh?

Nick 03.30.2007 05:32 AM

So is the V2 different to the one that will "drop in" to things like buggies and UE Lightnings?

Nice work Mike.

RC-Monster Mike 03.30.2007 08:50 AM

The nitro Revo mount and LSP mounts should show up in the store this weekend. Been working out the details and need to run a batch. The V2 slipperential is compatible with the newest G3 maxx and revo chassis conversions, as well as all old g-maxx chassis. Just waiting for the final release to double check fit and finish before getting these into production.
The direct drive unit(buggy/truggy drop in) is in testing at the moment(1 working unit at the moment, but working on more) - depending on the outcome, these will be ready pretty soon as well.

captain harlock 03.30.2007 08:54 AM

Is there a possibility that I could buy the diff carrier with the motor mount alone?

RC-Monster Mike 03.30.2007 10:04 AM

Yes, I will offer the "V2 upgrade" parts for those looking to update their V1 to the newer design. :)

Nick 03.30.2007 01:15 PM

Thanks Mike, does this mean I might need another custom shaft making? lol :D

captain harlock 03.30.2007 04:15 PM

That's nice of you, Monster!

sjcrss 03.30.2007 08:07 PM

wow, i havn't even really ran V1....i think i will stick with it for now

GorillaMaxx360 03.31.2007 11:11 PM

if you dont mind me asking what is the difference between the V1 and the V2 slipperential besides that the V2 fits the revo. Thanks

squeeforever 03.31.2007 11:39 PM

The motor mount...

crazyjr 04.01.2007 12:17 AM

By the looks, it moves everything about an inch foreward, for better weight dist. and clear rear shocks on revo gorilla conversions

Wow 2,000th post

entjoles 04.01.2007 05:34 PM

any word on the nitro revo mount? have not found it yet, is it up?

captain harlock 04.01.2007 07:06 PM

It should take a bit of a while befor you could see anything.
