My firs brushless monster truck
Mike, I would like to have an E-maxx with all hop-ups possible, Basic XL 2100( if there is one), 9920, 18 cells pack and all the things that can make the truck work properly. How much will it cost me?:)
Mike, feel like quoting me with a price for an emaxx with only the necessary hop-ups to handle a Lehner Basic XL equivalent of the 10L on 12 cells. Thanks for all your help, you run a truly amazing business.

The sky is no longer the limmit... :D |
haha its going to cost you an arm and a leg if you buy every hop up possible.
You can spend $5000 (if not more) if you get the best of the best, no way you mean this, right?
Captain and remix: email me at mike@rc-monster.com and we can discuss some options, pros and cons of each option and settle on the setup that is right for each of you. I do custom packages/truck all the time, so we should be able to work out the details quite quickly. Of course, there are many options to choose from, so some discussion is appropriate.
Captain: If you have a good radio system/batteries/servo, you could build a rock solid maxx with all the trimmings for quite a bit less than $5000(probably half). Remix: The xl2400(10L equivilent) on 12 cells could get by with the stock setup(just add some real wheels and tires). Aluminum bulks would be the first thing I would upgrade, though. the plastic fails pretty quickly if you don't land on the wheels. A good servo and servo saver are also a worthwhile investments(actuially, these would come before the bulks!). I look forward to the e-mails from both of you! |
Well I did calculate all the hop-ups including the Lehner 2240/9 motor and the schulze 40.160 esc and guess what? the price is beyond my meaning. Absolutelt toooooo much for me, but I thought it could be possible to get a good hopped up E-maxx with a 7XL and a 30120 esc from here for a more reasonable price. And mike I truly want to get one, but not pretty soon. I'm only trying to get an Idea about the whole thing and I will surely e-mail you when the time comes.

You don't need anywhere near the 22 series motor. A nice 1930 or 1940 motor will be more than enough, along with a micro 18120 controller or the -soon to be available- MGM controller or Castle controller. I am ready whenevr you are. If you would like, I can put together some sample packages in the meantime.
yah by the way when do you think the mgm esc wll be in sumtine during the summer?
Possibly next week on the MGM controller.
Thanks that would really be cool.
That is a 16 cell controller right?
@ harlock; You are planning on making it lightweight and tough? |
I believe the MGM will be a 16 cell controller.
If I were to have a large amount of money any time soo then I would really like too make it super tough, super fast, super heavy and all aluminum and titanium, but I guess I should be thankful to make it tough and light for the time being.
Tough and light it the way to go. Lighter weight automatically makes it tougher, too(less inertia when you crash!). My weekly racer is just under 9 pounds RTR and is nearly bulletproof.

I have a list that I will buy. Dont know the total tho:W:
Emaxx (TRUE) Feigao 9L motor $80 BK WARRIOR 9920 $200 New shocks $120 All Aluminum Upgrade $240 (?) Aluminum Chassis $175 Proline Vilocity 6 40 series wheel $23x2=$47 Proline Big Joe tires $35prx2=$72 RD Logics CVD's $30prx2=$60 UE Center CVD's $48 Assembled 7cell Integy pack $55x4=$220 Aluminum Motor Mount $40 Aluminum Skid Plates $40 (front+rear) Aluminum Bulkheads $30 Motor Heat Sink $24 Aluminum Diff Case $25eax3=$75 Aluminum Pillow Balls $20x2=$40 Aluminum Turnbuckles $11 Black Battery Straps $10 Aluminum Bulkhead Braces ($5 for 2 How many?) Airtronics MX-3S radio with 2 servos $190 rc-monster.com |
little tip, scrap the aluminium pivot balls. From what I've heard they're useless. Stick to the stock stainless steel ones or go for the 6AL4V titanim ones.
I don't think you need the bulkhead brace with all that. Scrap the aluminum diff case/bulkheads and get the FLM Combo Bulks.
The Integy bulkhead braces come as a pair(meant for one end of the truck, but I split them up myself). I agree on the pillow balls. the stockers are strong and cheap. If you upgrade, go with the RDL Ti. Also, you mentioned aluminum turnbuckles:I would stick with the stockers here as well, or upgrade to ti(which I can get for you).
Welcome to the forums, too, by the way! |
