Graphite Elegance????????????

Anyone know if they are EVER coming back???????????

I've be wanting some CF for a while now...particularly CF Angle.

Sower 09.11.2007 02:07 PM

I hear ya - I've posted about this too and nobody knows what's up with them. I wonder if the guy died or something. Seriously, he said he would be back up and running in June. Too bad - I loved their product.

BrianG 09.11.2007 03:22 PM

Does anyone know where they are physically located? I tried their "contact us" link hoping for an address, but got the "we are on vacation" message. Maybe someone who lives relatively close to the facility can swing by?

Procharged5.0 09.11.2007 03:29 PM

That would be great. They have nice product at a reasonable price. CF Angle is hard to find and very expensive when you do. I hope they return!

I got their phone number and email off of an old Paypal transaction from them. I called a month or so ago and left a message hoping to hear somthing back, but nobody ever called. I also emailed their paypal customer service address and never got a response. Not really sure whats up there. I have been holding off on buying some CF for a project for quite a while though and I'm about write these guys off and go pay more somewhere else.

I hope they do come back eventually, They had good product for a fair price. I don't need the "shinney" CF (or the extra cost that comes with it) that most other places sell. I just wanted light and strong and they fit the bill perfectly.

Kinda sucks.

BrianG 09.11.2007 03:31 PM

If CF is hard to get/expensive, how about making some fiberglass angles? of course, they would have to be a little thicker for strength.

If you don't have the physical address (the Paypal transaction should have it), you can do a reverse phone number search...

jhautz 09.11.2007 03:42 PM

here is their email. if anyone else wnats to try. Maybee a flood of requests will get them motivated to open again. I have their phone number too, but wont post that. FYI. If you hvae purchased from them and paid with paypal, you can find their pnone number in the paypal transaction details under customer service information.

and it doesnt look nearly as "cool" :mdr:

Procharged5.0 09.11.2007 04:07 PM

Fiberglass angles are readily available.

McMaster has a reasonable selection.

At that point I'd consider just emailing Mike w/Cad drawings and ask him to "modify" some stock aluminum angle for lighter weight & better appearance then line it to protect the batteries.

The angle could then double as a chassis stiffener.

Jinx.

Arct1k 09.11.2007 05:42 PM

Did see that - Posting limit of 60 secs meant - i went somewhere else first...

Procharged5.0 09.11.2007 05:49 PM

Well....looks like we'll be buying CF elsewhere.

I have a local shop that make CF racing bodies (1:1 scale). They do nice work........I've purchased some of their 'glass products. If I get a chance I'll ask if they could run a small batch of fiber angles.

What sizes & thickness are you all interested in?

I like the 1" x 2" & 1" x 1.5" myself. (1" x 1" is good also and probable the most economical)

Sower 09.12.2007 10:42 AM

That would be sweet. It's really too bad that G.E. is gone - or seems to be. I really like the 1" x 1" angles. I could see using the other two sizes you mentioned too. Let us know what you find out, and thanks for checking into it.

Procharged5.0 09.12.2007 10:45 AM

I'm thinking .090" thick. I would think .125" would also be desirable.

anyone?????

Sower 09.12.2007 10:51 AM

I agree.

Hey, I just hit post 350!
