I have an RC10GT with a tub chassis. Not sure if it is considered vintage, but it is old .

bdebde 09.14.2007 09:11 PM

I have one of the first HPI RS4's made. I pre-ordered it before they even came out. I will have to see if I can find some pics (or take some) later.

crazyjr 09.14.2007 09:43 PM

Don't get me started, I got from traxxas; TRX1 TRX3 (Rick Vhelow prototype) Blue eagle LS-2 SRT, From Kyosho a Javelin and a KX-One touring car, From Team Losi a JRX-T and a JR-t

What's_nitro? 09.14.2007 09:56 PM

Hey does it count if you don't have the truck anymore?

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g4...d/DSC00028.jpg

I got it for (I think) my 7th birthday back in 1992, maybe earlier. I had it up until 2003 when it was sold at a yard sale without my knowledge. It still ran perfectly. :grrrrrr::grrrrrr:

I didn't even have a chance to make it brushless!!! :grrrrrr:

 There is no tie rods on the car, thats why the wheels are like that. If you guys notice the car has rear trailing arms , & not out the side like todays cars. My dad bought me this car for cristmas when i was a young lad, so i'll never get rid of it.

BrianG 09.15.2007 01:12 PM

That sledgehammer looks like a boat with wheels! Does it float? Lol, j/k.

VintageMA 09.15.2007 06:00 PM

I had, when I joined this forum, (and thus my name since I couldn't think of anything else at the time) a Kyosho Optima Mid still working from 1985.

I have since let it go when I moved recently and regret it almost everyday since it was the first car I built.

rchippie 09.15.2007 06:10 PM

I was looking for parts to fix my falcon, & i found them on ebay UK. They should cost around $75.00 US plus shipping.

FG101C 09.15.2007 06:28 PM

I was just driving my original RC10 and something happened, locked in full throttle and went head on into a car tire. Chassis is in the shape of a U now. Probably the "vintage" Futaba Magnum AM. Here's a pic of it just before the wreck with a duratrash body.

Looks good cann we get a couple of topless shots ?. Of the car of corse  That bites about the damage.

FG101C 09.15.2007 09:03 PM

Two pics of the top off and stripped, good thing about aluminum is it bends easily back into place. My great job of chassis lightening isn't good for strength though.

That probably did weeken the chassis some. I saw one on ebay today, the guy wanted $325.00 for a used one.

FG101C 09.15.2007 09:29 PM

I have a bunch more pictures of cars but that was waaaaaay before digital. Had a Kyosho Big Brute, Hornet, Yokomo Dogfighter, Tamiya F-1, RC10L.Ever hear of the Spirit FF? It was front wheel drive and total crap as far as strength goes, but my favorite was a Tamiya 1/12th Toyota Celica rally car. That thing was so fun to drive.

I've heard of all of them except the last one.

nativepaul 09.16.2007 10:05 AM

I have a Tamyia Hornet, it was my first RC, I got it for my 7th birthday I think back in 1985, it's not quite in original mint condition now though, I carried out some minor modifications to it back in 1992

I'm pretty sure I have an extra chassis for that car in a box in my basement. PM me if you're interested. If I remember right, it's in exc condition.

dabid 09.22.2007 10:13 PM

The oldest car I have is my old RC10T2 with the black alum. tub chassis......don't think that truck is more than 12 years old though, so I don't know that it counts as vintage.

nis720 09.25.2007 01:23 AM

Here's my vintage..

Bolink Pan Car.

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1.../IM001875a.jpg

A few RC10's W/stealth tranny (I also had the original RC10 at one point but it got stolen). I have 2 Championship Editions and one Factory Team car. I bought the carbon Fiber chassis and added every hopup... from CVD's to Ti turnbuckles.
