I listen to just about anything, really. I do love metallica, as well as old G'n'R. Strange, but I also like eminem(little different music type) and 50 cent. I guess I couldn't really pick a favorite. I like to old school rock, the new stuff, and almost everything in between. If the artist has talent, I can appreciate the music.

Dafni 07.01.2005 09:45 AM

I also like alot of different stuff. But my all time favourite is Reggae! Alpha Blondy, Buju, Bushman, Redrat, Culcha Candela, Gentleman, whateva

I also like some selected rap stuff. Jurassic 5 (you should check them out, Mike), Em, Fantastischen Vier...

Old Metallica is also up my street.

The last record I bought was an old Johnny Cash :L: There's a time for everything, boys.

supermaxx4190 07.01.2005 11:22 AM

50 cent is ok.

To bad we were busy doing something at isaacs and missed their second concert.

(they are a local band put together by a bunch of upperclassmen, but they have some insane songs and on of the guys can beat box like no other)

Here a link to him beat boxing http://www.beatbox.hiphop-battles.co...02_44_16_4.mp3

EDIT: One of their hit covers is bombs over bagdad by outkast http://web.qx.net/3236/08.mp3
The guy who raps it actually raps faster but just as clear its so sick

MetalMan 07.02.2005 09:43 AM

For me, its' Slipknot and Chimaira. Both are heavy metal bands (in case you haven't heard of them).

rchippie 07.04.2005 05:52 AM

I like the hair bands.. also 60's & 70's groups, mostly old school stuff for me .

bob2300NX 07.08.2005 11:53 AM

This is just my oppion,

But I am sorry Mike you said 50 cent and talent in the same sentence, LOL.

For me it is all about NWA, Notorious BIG, W.C. , Royce da 5'9", and Westside Connection (ice cube and dubC are very good lyricly).

Dafni 07.08.2005 01:09 PM

Cool.

As for rap stuff, how about Jurassic 5, or old Pharcyde, they are hilarious.

T2693 07.08.2005 01:14 PM

50 Com'in out ya stereo........ lol...

I'm open, Hip-hop, ALternative, Rock, it's all good.

bob2300NX 07.08.2005 01:16 PM

I have not listen to them. What are the best songs of both? I will listen to them and report back, LOL.

I think I have heard a song from Jurassic 5 but I cant remember.

740 songs you would think that I have some of there music too, LOL.

I like Missy's new track. She is talented.

Dafni 07.08.2005 01:47 PM

Can't go wrong with Jurassic5! Check them out, I can't think of one bad J5 track.
Their new album, Power in Numbers, is just awesome. But the older two are good as well.

Here's a couple to check out if you wanna download just a few:

Power in Numbers:
-A day at the races
-What's golden

Enjoy, and LMK how you like it.

JIMCRAWLER 07.08.2005 11:39 PM

KING DIAMOND

bob2300NX 07.09.2005 03:46 PM

Jurassic 5 is pretty good. Ok going to dloud more J5. Thanx

You may want to try N.W.A.- Straight Outta Compton

Another by NWA ---- the police (you can fill in the blank LOL).

Also Eric B. and Rakim are classic.

Dafni 07.09.2005 03:53 PM

Of course I know NWA. There's a time for everything, but most times these guys are to ruf for me.:D J5 is nice and smooth, the vocal harmonics are awesome. Try J5: Quality control (Jurass finish first, quality control, twelve,...)

Glad you like it!

How about european rap stuff? Try Saian Supa Crew, if you cand find them. Their album KLR is great.

I'm playing Gangstarr "moment of truth", btw. For breakfast I had Metallica "Kill 'em all". :D

Re~Mix 07.09.2005 08:15 PM

For Jurassic 5, try out What's Golden and Jurass Finish First..

I got all sorts of bands with 1600 songs on my ipod and rapidly growing, no favorite's really.. Although sadly im a sucker for Kelly Clarkson's since you been gone, I like her voice lol.

T2693 07.09.2005 09:26 PM

You guys are takin out the throw backs.....

Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy, Nas, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Heavy D, Special Ed, KRS One, Ice Cube, Ice T, UTFO, Slick Rick, Doug E Fresh......

Re~Mix 07.09.2005 11:50 PM

Ahh, good ole 'A Tribe Called Quest.' represents Minnesota! lol, indeed I have a few songs from them. Ice Cube, Today Was A Good Day is a pretty slick song

bob2300NX 07.09.2005 11:52 PM

Dafni: Tried Saian Supa Crew, not in my language so I think that loses the effect of rap.

Re~Mix: It's ok, I kinda like Ciara , LOL.

T2693: Public Enemy pretty good although I find myself getting tired of them more often than other artests or groups.

Nas= Amazing lyrics (with deeper meanings), he killed Jay-Z with that song either.

KRS One: Is awsome plan and simple, LOL.

Ice Cube is also very good, although I like him in his "new" group westside connection (I think WC have very unique voice and lyrics).

The rest I have heard of but have not listen to them. But I will go check them out.

Wait did Doug E Fresh do Lodi Dodi?

Anyone else Dloud or watched (on BET): "jin - jin - bet freestyle friday jin vs skazoo(2)"

Now that was a good freestyle. If you do dloud make sure it is a video so you can see the expressions on peoples faces when the disses come :L: !

Dafni 07.10.2005 03:08 AM

Sorry to hear he is ill, hope he gets well soon.

:L:

I think if you really love music you're bound to have pretty diverse tastes.I can't really think of any genre that doesn't have atleast one great artist/band.(Exept Michael Bolton,he's a genre all of his own and he blows:eek: )

If i listed all my fave bands i'd be here a while so i'll make a few recommendations instead:

Reggae: The Heptones (soulfull/spiritual vocal trio with great songs and the smoothest harmonies)

Rock:Rammstein(Industrial/gothic symphony with operatic vocals and great synthesiser work.In German).

Rap: Dead Prez ('let's get free' is one of the best albums i know of in any genre)

Okay,i'll list a few:
Neil Young,Johnny Cash,David Bowie,Suede,AC/DC,the White Album(the Beatles),the Brown album(orbital),the Black album(Metallica).
The works of Underworld(Darren Emerson and co.),'Scratch'(Lee Perry),the Wailers,King Tubby,Outcast(i think 'Aquemini' is their best album followed by 'ATLiens',a close second).
Beethoven rocks too and Tchaikovsky is the man.

Okay, that's my little contribution to this curious and potentially never ending thread:C: .

HotnCold 09.04.2005 08:40 AM

Fitty Cent, Snoop, Metallica, and most of all - the band that squeeforever's avatar is rockin out to - that group must slamm....

squeeforever 09.04.2005 04:14 PM
