Tekin sure is not what they used to be. Before they were in the front of the pack and every company was playing catch up. Now they are doing the catching up . Look at those prices, are they serious? Those 2 controllers better be bullet proof for someone to pay that kind of money for them.

The controller that I have now also can do 4S, but it can also run sensored motors. Tekin just took forever to make their controllers and now we see the sensored and sensorless controllers like the one I have and the Quark SSB-MK03.

Some of the people posting in that thread are seriously stupid. I hate reading peoples comments about brushless on other forums. The novak fan boys frustrate me.

I know what you mean. I don't think they know what an MGM controller and a Neu motor is.

MTBikerTim 01.03.2008 08:21 PM

I'm sure that is true. I was told after mentioning that combo (mgm/neu) that the best setup for a savage conversion is a novak setup. Then a bunch of other people on the forum chimed in and said exactly the same thing. I didn't bother arguing I just hope the guy who asked what he should use didn't take their advice.

BlackedOutREVO 01.03.2008 09:20 PM

And novaks GTB is crap (atleast in a touring car) I hate the feel of there speedo's, there motors are OK, I only like there 13.5, everything else I have is LRP, Orion, and now speed passion..... I dont know why anyone likes novak TBH..... There CS is very good though..

The die hard novak guys are stupid...... lol

ib4200 01.03.2008 09:58 PM

im die-hard novak but thats prolly only cause thats all i can afford and i have to run sensored where i race lol....

BlackedOutREVO 01.03.2008 10:06 PM

Why no LRP, or SP?

Where abouts in NJ are you?

MetalMan 01.04.2008 12:31 AM

I couldn't help but post a response strongly supporting sensorless technology compared to sensored . It's funny, that's my first and only post on RC Tech in the 2 years I've been a member.

I don't post much there, but I do check in just to see what those kids talk about and have a few laughs.

pb4ugo 01.05.2008 12:40 AM

I was just checking it on Tower and it looks like they backed back down to 3s rating on the Pro.

jhautz 01.05.2008 01:10 AM

The R1 and R1Pro are in stock at Tower now.

EDIT: oops... just the R1 is in stock. The pro is still backorder only.

lutach 01.05.2008 11:00 AM

Can anyone tell m why should I pay $194.99 for the R1 and $224.99 for the R1Pro? In the past, Tekin was the the product to have mainly because it was original Tekin. I'm not sure if that price is fair.

BlackedOutREVO 01.05.2008 03:32 PM

The pro has no motor limit, and I *think* less resistance

I think thats all, I just know the motor limit is the main thing

lutach 01.05.2008 03:59 PM

But whay the high price. I would expect high price from the old Tekin, but not the new one. Specially when there are great BL systems out already. I'm pretty sure the controller I have will out perform the R1 and R1PRO.

BlackedOutREVO 01.05.2008 04:58 PM

Im sure it will....The r1pro, and r1 is just meant to be for racing, but for us
