will this fit the E?

This is a stupid question
but can this 1/5 body
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b3...axx/Asgard.jpg
fit the E-maxx??
if i extend the E and stuff like that

coolhandcountry 08.05.2005 05:14 PM

If you make it long enough it should work. Just have to put new holes in the body. Where do you get them from and what dimensions does that body have? I have stretched mine some. Could use a longer body.

maxxdude1234 08.05.2005 05:19 PM

There was once a guy who made a 'Quad-Motor' maxx. It had four 775 size drill motors, two trannies and was about 28 inches long and weighed 17lbs. He used a 1/5th sized buggy body on it and it looked pretty good. It can be done, but on a relatively stock sized truck, a 1/5th size body might look silly.

Shadow350Z 08.05.2005 05:24 PM

that body is a for a VS Modelsport Leopard Bettle
Length..................................720mm
Width...................................435mm
Height...................................285mm
Wheelbase............................505mm
Motor ..........Zenoah G230-04....3.9hp

coolhandcountry 08.05.2005 05:27 PM

Can some one please break that down to inches for me? I not sure how big that is. No offense there shadow. I just suck at mm. :)

maxxdude1234 08.05.2005 05:30 PM

Just divide the 'mm' figures by 25.4 to get inches.....cant be bothered working it out....:p

coolhandcountry 08.05.2005 05:50 PM

Thanks I have to remember that. Is that the truck demisions or the body.

Shadow350Z 08.05.2005 06:17 PM

those specs are for the truck the body goes on too

coolhandcountry 08.05.2005 06:44 PM

so the truck is length 28.3 width 17.4 height 11.2 wheel base 19.8
I Thinks the body will fit just fine if you stretch it some. say some where around 5 inches or so in wheel base. You would have to measure it out as you go along. You will have to make a chassis to fit you. It depends on you. You can make most any thing work.

Shadow350Z 08.05.2005 07:25 PM

yeah i wanna do it but how am I gonna extend the chassis?

coolhandcountry 08.05.2005 07:42 PM

You can take a piece of aluminum and cut it down to a lower chassis plate. I had a website that told you about it. Let me find it and i pm it to you.

Shadow350Z 08.05.2005 07:49 PM

lol ima do all this jus for that body
that body looks sweet and sleak!!

Shadow350Z 08.06.2005 12:09 AM

Shadow350Z 08.06.2005 02:01 AM

hey coolhandcountry wuts the exact width, lenght, wheelbase is your double extended Gmaxx??
maybe i can use your design

or maybe use my own design by buying another stock chassis and lower braces and a thick sheet of aluminum and aluminum L pole from home depot

coolhandcountry 08.06.2005 07:45 PM

21.5 inches bumper to bumper
17 inches to out side the tires wide
15 inches form center to center of wheels
Here is a tmaxx chassis you may be interested in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ay_Pr2_PcY_BIN

Shadow350Z 08.06.2005 08:21 PM

thats a nice chassis but that lenght still wont do
need longer ones
and i found a way to make it longer and still have good clearance
that only adds 4 inches to stock thats 101.6mm
i need to add 200 more to stock

coolhandcountry 08.06.2005 09:12 PM

You need to get it out to about 20 inches. So 7 inches longer than stock. Mine is 15 at 2 inches longer. I guess you going to have to make you something. It should look awesome when done. I want to see it when it is done. The bigger the better. If nothing else cut a two pieces of aluminum down and make like the daul plate chassis. Did that other site give you any ideas? Well good luck and hope it works out. Like i said i sure would like to see it when done.

nitrostarter 08.06.2005 09:27 PM

That chassis is what those people with JumboKongs on stock chassis need.

Thats on long chassis.

I run the BPP Torpedo chassis, Its 2 inches longer than stock, which is plenty!

Shadow350Z 08.06.2005 09:31 PM

i alrdy counted and add up all the parts i need
i need 2 stock emaxx chassis 2 sets of lower braces about 26 m3x? screws L brace from Home Depot and a thick sheet of aluminum
oh this thing ima do i dont think its gonna happen soon
I still have to think it through to make sure i didnt leave out anything or make a mistake plus i need cash

oh this conversion will make my maxx 2wd
and probably gonna hella heavy so i think ima need another HV_maxx and a couple more gp3300 7 cells

coolhandcountry 08.06.2005 09:38 PM

When it said and done. I think it will be awesome. You go for it shadow. I have faith in you. You can do it. Build the big freakin emaxx. :lol

coolhandcountry 08.06.2005 09:39 PM

Build it up and put two 7xl on it. That will have plenty of power.

Shadow350Z 08.06.2005 10:16 PM

nah ill just buy another HV since i cant order anything via online

coolhandcountry 08.07.2005 08:16 AM

When you get it finished i like to see it. I thought about a project simaliar to yours. that sucks that you can't order online. It opens up a lot of windows of opertunity. Will good luck there. Keep me posted.

Shadow350Z 08.07.2005 01:04 PM

I'll probably wont start thi project anytime soon maybe next year or l8t this year
