That's a custom job done by a few guys on urc. You'd really have to ask them for the details. I believe that the body used was a xxx-4 body though.
The drivetrain can handle the 5300 on 6 cells, but nothing more really. I'd say you'd hit high 30's though. |
yah i know im on urc alot that where i got it but accualy the guy whho baught might sell it n ill pic it up!

That's actually my old car :D. I made it. With a P94 10x2 it went around 40, so I'm guessing it will go 45 with the 5300.
For the wing mounts, I used these: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRB16&P=7 For wheels, I used these: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMX91&P=7 I just used a XXX-4 body and wing, but the only thing is that you need to hack a hole in the body in order for the spur gear to fit. If you need any help on making your own, let me know. |
no way nice car man i like it alot ill let you know if i start one thx for the help request.. -TwzteD

I messed around with my rs4mt a while back and did a buggy look alike thing to it as well. I just used the HPI inner body, though. I had to trim the front steering knuckles a bit to get the buggy wheels to work as I recall, but otherwise it was pretty simple. If the car had a better/more precise steering arrangement, I may play with it a little more!

I know about a movie Kreauterbutter made of his RS4MT with buggywheels on it.. On 8-10 cells 2/3C size and a 4200 it ran like an idiot... the drivetrain of that R4MT isn't too strong though. HighAmp also used a 4200 or a 5300 in his rs4MT and he kept changing belts.... i would get a HPI rs4 SS nitro to convert to BL..

T4 shocks work great on it. You could run PL buggy dish wheels and narrow the fronts to get the 4wd buggy look, just drill out the center to allow the larger axles to fit through. Personally, I liked the super RS4 mesh wheels that I used. For tires, I used PL Holeshot LP's.
