Neu motor question

Would I be better off w/ a higher kv motor...2600kv and turn the power down a bit... or would I be better off w/ say a 2000kv motor as far as longer run times assuming I was running the same battery setup in both..

Just curious...being new to BL I am still learning

Thanks

Are you racing or bashing and what kind of vehicle will you put it in?

I will be doing a little of both...it will be in my mbx-5

The 1515, 1Y (2200 kv) on 4s or 5s is a killer choice.

What is the main difference between the 1515 and the 1512 motors?

bdebde 02.10.2008 05:11 PM

1515 is longer than the 1512, a bit more power. I think most will say 1512 for a buggy and 1515 for a truggy/truck. I like the smaller motors in my buggy; less weight, longer run time.

I figured that the 1512 would be better, lighter but I wanted to ask anyway

I would pick the 1512 2d (2600kv) for a buggy running 4s.
