My converted CRT

I bought this off a nice guy on here, nl12, and I'm already in love with it. It's fast, sleek, and has a stealth like theme goin' on! I have a stock lid that I need to lay some paint with but I plan to get a nice custom lid done in the future. I've put a protective layer on the chassis and arms to keep the anodizing in good shape. So far it's done a good job, we'll see how well it holds up. This is not a bashing truck, just running it in grass and stuff. I might run it in sand but that's doubtful. I'll be getting a 2nd truggy for that kind of stuff, possibly another CRT but we'll see.

Pics-
I think I like black....hmm...

Here it is after being loaded up with my MM/9XL on 4S and Spektrum. I want to get a Castle BEC, I don't like this Starluck unit. Other than that this thing is awesome. Runs so smooth and handles awesome. I want to hit the track soon.

that is very nice!!!

Arct1k 02.15.2008 01:39 PM

Darn i regret no picking up that one...

gtxracer 02.19.2008 09:11 PM

Thanks Arct1k :)

It's a blast to drive, but I want more power. Someone asked how I kept the protector on there. They're sheet protectors from Office Depot. Box costs about as much as a single Associated sheet and they work great.

entjoles 02.19.2008 09:14 PM

thanks for the info, i will be trying it

I really like those tires. What kind are they?

cart213 02.19.2008 11:31 PM

They are Proline Badlands MT tires. They're very nice for bashing and last a long time.

Nice jammin! What bumper is that? thx

gtxracer 02.23.2008 12:26 PM

I'm pretty sure it's a Jammin buggy bumper. I like it a lot more than the stock bumper.

Update! I mounted the Badlands on LPR wheels. I think they look kickass!!!

Nice truggy! man, ur makin me miss my crt.:cry: Let me know how those maximizer rims hold up for you. The couldn't take my jammin without losing the tire beads no matter how careful I was at mounting.

gtxracer 03.10.2008 11:18 PM

Yeah they were kinda hard to mount, which is another reason I made the switch. They're also pretty heavy, and more suited for a crawler, which is where they are now

Thanks for the compliment :yipi:

Nice job on those badlands and the LPR wheels

What foams did you use? The regular foam? Have you run the badlands that way yet? How do they handle?

gtxracer 03.13.2008 07:18 AM

Thanks! I used the regular foams and turned them inside out to trim them down. Haven't run them yet, still gluing them and am almost done.

Jammin 03.27.2008 09:43 AM

Can you help me?

If you don't mind, what pinion and spur set up were you running with your 9xl. I have a 12/46 and it gets way hot at 10 minuets. thanks man
