Best way to secure the pinion gear?

Whats the best way to secure the pinion gear to the shaft?

I have tried using locktite but the pinion gear still became loose after about 30 mins of bashing. :whistle:

Locktite, flat spot on the motor shaft, and the kung-fu grip on your wrench.

Yeah, the flat spot is an obsolute necessity IMO. If it's a Neu, cover the end holes with tape or something and then use a dremel sanding wheel to grind the flat spot.
