Brushless Pinion and others.

I am not sure if i am in right section but here it goes

1) How long is Mod 1 pinion is, the one that are sold on this site? (as in length wise)

2) Would carbon Fibre motor mount plate be good alternative to alumiumum for heat dispensation ?

I hope someone can answer those question.

1) I get 12mm for the length.

2) no, aluminum is a better conductor

My motor mounts are made with carbon fiber. It's great for strength and stiffness, but of course it does not conduct heat very well. Aluminum is a good heat conductor. And I have nothing against alum mounts... I just happen to have some good scraps of very strong CF and I like working with it except that it dulls tools really fast.

But... imo it doesn't matter that much. If you want to draw heat off the motor you can put a fan on it and also have it touching the main alum chassis. (could even use thermal paste etc..)
