####! FLM chassis though... hmm, wonder what could be done for the Gmaxx chassis- something like the one in Serum's Erevo maybe?.... *ponders*

I assume you could mount it with the motor facing towards the rear of the truck, just a matter of finding driveshafts the correct length?

I'm at a loss for words ................

I tried mounting the unit with the motor in the rear...the shafts were fine...the problem was that the truck was very heavy in the rear end and there was no room for the massive MGM ESC. Note that I had to dremel the chassis top plate so the diff spur would fit. This setup seemed to work best for me. Mike will probably be selling these in the RCM store soon.

Mike is suppose to be working a unit that will fit the Gorillamaxx chassis.

Ah, that sounds about right about the weight/balance issue, and I see that the MGM esc is rather chunky to mount it any place else. All very good news though, I've been waiting an age for someone to design a centre diff/motor mount like that for the gmaxx chassis- I dont like offset motors, doesnt look balanced (even if it is weight wise). I figured the chassis rails would need trimming though, they are just too narrow for a reasonably sized spur to fit between them, so that fine with me.

One question I have on behalf of someone on another forum- what centre diff is that you went with? cheers.

Forgive my ignorance but, what center diff is that? Looks like my next upgrade :mdr:

I used a 48T spur...it just barely fit between the chassis rails. However, I did have to trim the chassis top plate.

Its a custom center diff mount that Mike made for me. It replaces the stock tranny with a 1/8 scale center differential.

Which 1/8 diff is it? That just look so sick. I would love to try it. Thanks.

I used the Spider diff that goes to the hyper 8.5 (I think)...but any standard 1/8 scale Ofna diff will work.

Anyone thinking that one of the slipper/diff units that we recently had a thread about would be killer with this mount setup? I would add a pair of the hybrid bulks and a full rpm treatment for a grat basher that was also track worthy.

Yep...I am running the hybrids with UE diffs and also eagerly awaiting the slipper diff...if it takes too long, I may try to use the center slipper diff from the Ofna Monster Pirate.

I'd also like to see a diff mount like this for the Gorilla chassis...
