Mamba Max/Feigao 8XL Questions

I picked up a Mamba Max and Feigao 8XL that was on an emaxx from ebay. Kept the transmission and BL system and sold the roller. I know, you never know what you are going to get. But anyways, see if any of you knows about this.

Like i Said. Mamba Max with 8XL, UBEC-6VC, 7-cell nimh (for tests) and stock traxxas radio/rx with a cheesy servo.

Does it matter which of the 3 motor wires to hook up to the 3 esc wires?
I don't know if it matters but I can turn the 8XL motor shaft really easy. No resistance.

The system is wired like the UBEC diagram shows. I didn't wire it. Comes on and programs fine and accepts new inputs from Castle Link USB. Thing is, feels like it is only runing at 1/4 speed. This is not on the truck but you can tell it's slow spinning. Good charged batteries and good connections. I don't know the age or condition of this system cause it was from ebay. I searched a bit on here with no luck. Anyone have any hints? Thanks.

That motor will turn pretty slow on 7 cell nimh. Doesn't matter which way the 3 wires go, just swap any two to reverse the direction of the motor. There won't be any resistance on the motor shaft, it will spin freely, unlike 4 pole motors that have strong magnetic resistance to turning by hand. Also, running with an external UBEC with only 7 cell nimh may cause problems depending on the UBEC you are using.

* also not a good idea to run a brushless motor with no load (not in truck) *

Ok. I was just running it to see if it would program. I wired it up two 6 cell nimh's with a deans y-harness. Spins a bit faster.
The BEC is Koolflight "UBEC-6VC".
I guess I would have to use LiPo if I want some real power. I am probably going to wire it up for two brushed motors for my tube chassis clod.
Thanks for the info.
