LST Shock Oil

Hey all,

Just got my used LST shocks rebuilt (o-rings, pistons, rod ends), and the next step is adding oil. But considering that each shock will consume almost a whole bottle of oil, I want to get the oil weight right the first time. What oil have you guys found to work best? For now it looks like I'll use silver springs, and I'll be making parts to fit the shocks to the truck (college really puts a damper on spending!).

My truck might be lighter than the average conversion, since it has a center diff and no tranny, although it does have a KB45 10XL (heavy) and 10s1p A123, in a FLM extended low CG chassis.

30wt or 35wt seems to be fairly normal (30wt stock). I'm running 30wt at the moment with silver springs but I do want to change that a bit. I'm thinking 35wt in the rear at least. It also depends on how you are mounting your shocks too. If you are mounting the bottoms out at the wheel the 30wt might be perfect. Mine are currently mounted in from the wheel (irc kit) and I am waiting to move them out before I start playing with spring rates and oils.
