Forum Life

Folks, our beloved forum here has really gained some life, eh?
Good thing, and I hope it does RC-Monster Mikes business some good.

I am aware of the fact that this is supposed to be a support forum, but sometimes it's so easy to get carried away and fill pages with off-topic chattering.

I was wondering what you guys, and especially Mike think about this.

I myself see it like this: In certain threads I like to keep it simple, and in some fun/general talk threads I don't mind it at all when some guys share a laugh.

Would like to get your opinion on this.

How "precious" is the data capacity on such a forum, btw.

Thanks
DAF

well, you've got something to begin with Dafni..

please eddit your opening title from furom to forum, but i guess you still had the tears in your eyes from my methane cloud..

In my opinion it isn't bugging anyone, because it all shows the good atmosphere we've got here.

Not to go too deep in stuff, but the hobby is all about getting away from your daily drag (though every day on a the forum.. Isn't that a drag?) well.. that's what hobbies are for..

not that my daily life is a drag, (NOT at all) but don't we all enjoy getting feedback on posts and humor is a nice way to get possitive feedback from others..

In order to stay ontopic, make sure you joke around about something that is discussed in the topic..

(Congratulations Rene... and again, another topic is lost..........)

PROUD Member of the red nose crew.. (I ain't talking about the red nose reindeer that's pulling the sled..)

I have tried to edit the title, but it just changed the title on top of the post. Maybe you can fix this?

Serum 08.21.2005 05:42 AM

No, i can't edit your opening post either..

I fact.. I can't edit anything in the testimonials and feedback forum..

I will contact Mike about this..

The ONLY problem with off topic chatter will come when the forum is huge. Folks will follow a thread to find facts and instead they will find chatter. I run several websites and I know this for a fact. If you've ever tried to find something on the traxxas site you'll know what I mean. My thread Tomatos E was Hijacked. Not that I care. I'm not crying :)

Data is the most important thing. It's what brings the people in and more importantly the search engines.
