Proline 40 series Crime Fighter;

here are the new 40 serie tires from Proline.

They say that the sidewall is higher (i guess higher than the 40 series bowties) only thing is.. How high? anybody got an idea of the outside diameter of this tire? It doesn't look any higher than the bowtie

Dafni 08.21.2005 09:59 AM

You're right. On the pic the dimensions look very similar to 40 bowties.

Serum 08.21.2005 10:20 AM

Yeah, I thought so too... i don't know what they took as reference..

Shadow350Z 08.21.2005 10:05 PM

which do you think is better for bash/race??
bow ties or those??

RC-Monster Mike 08.28.2005 10:57 AM

Toss up as to which is better. It may also depend on the vehicle. On my truggy, i like the crimefighters. They are a little looser in the rear (and the long wheelbase needs to be able to break free somewhat to get around the turns faster). I prefer the bowties on the e-revo and revo, though.

Dafni 09.20.2005 02:57 PM

Are they out now?
Mike, can you get them?

dabid 09.20.2005 03:12 PM

Crimefighters look like the blocks are more tightly spaced, and are solid whereas the Bow Ties are not so much so. I'd even go so far as saying the Crimefighters would probably do better on a bit more loamy tracks, while the flexy tread of the Bow Ties would hold onto blue groove better......pure speculation though, I have yet to see anyone with the new ones at Hot Rod Hobbies.

Yes, I have the crimefighters(only have two pair for now, until they come back into stock). Limited supply, so I haven't listed them in the store yet.

You have the 40 series mike. How do they compare up beside the bowtie. Are the taller, skinner, lighter, etc.

RC-Monster Mike 09.20.2005 10:14 PM

My bad! I have the regular crime fighters, not the 40 series.

I've got some buggy Crimefighters too, they work good. :)
