my 4s drag rusty and FLM build...
 

hey guys, kinda new to this forum, just wanted to post a few pics of my most recent projects...

my 4s-6s VXL drag rusty:

drag rusty #1 ---I made an extended upper chassis because some of the 4-6s lipos i run are longer than the battery compartment..this raised the center of gravity a bit, but actually makes it faster off the line. I know..no fan on the esc...i don't find it necessary as i run with a hole in the windshield like the nitro guys do that gives me plenty of cooling.(dosen't get hot even on a 6s)
geared it 60/40...just got this mamba last week from a friend of mine and now i've replaced 80% of my trucks' esc's with them....i really like them...some people say not to go above 4s on the mambas, but i've not had any problems as of yet. :)

as far as running a 5-6s on the mamba...
nooooooo....... :gasp: .....not yet.


the highest i've gone is 4s although my buddy swears that i can use a 5 or 6 s on it without any probs for a few limited highspeed runs...he says he's run a 6s on it with an RC8 (literally the same esc...i got that one in the pic from him) that's why i wrote 4-6s and not having any probs with it yet, and it running cool...i was taking his word for it...i assumed if he had used the 6s and it was too much, it would have smoked the controller.

i was gonna try it this week, but if you think it'll blow the esc, i'll assume he was trying to get me to buy it as a selling point. :whistle:

That's some collection you got there. Time to upgrade one of your rustlers to the extended FLM setup.
5S is the max I would go with the mamba btw.
