LVC for other than RC?

Is there a LVC that you can buy or make for things other than RC? For instance, I wanted to use some lipos for a battery operated fan. The packs are older and I don't use them much anymore but, they are still good and I don't want to ruin them. Are there any products out there for this purpose or maybe something that is easy to build?

Li-saver should work fine for that.

The li-saver interupts the rec signal. You need some sort of device that can trip a relay placed between the batt and fan when a certain voltage is reached. Something like that...

I would think you could open up a lisaver and hook a relay to it. Of course I am sure that there are other (perhaps easier) ways to do it as well.

R/C LVCs are set up to output a series of pulses to emulate neutral/min throttle when they trip. For aircraft, that's 1ms pulses, for cars, that's 1.5ms pulses. I've never looked too deep into LVC circuitry, but it probably has everything on one IC (measuring circuit, firmware, and oscillator), so tapping into it to use a relay may not work.

Just remember that whatever circuit you use to function as an LVC will draw power itself (albeit small). So, you'd have to make sure that when it trips, it cuts power going to the load AND itself.
