8 msr4's brand new for 65 bux should i get them

what's the diff. between the msr4's and 5's? ive heard that they both have problems with the shock shafts bending is this true? do the piggybacks do any thing? i know there functional but do they help in any way?

Save your money. Get some UE shocks or powerstrokes.

I see the Pro-line powerstrokes going for $80 or less brand new all the time. AND LOVE THEM!!!

the msr4's are nice shocks. you will need to get some better shock shafts though. the nitrate coated shafts for the traxxas shocks are the best that i have found. they are the same length and size as the msr4's. you can buy them from m.i.p. or traxxas. the piggyback helps by reducing air bubbles and allow more fluid for better dampining. i use 4 of the msr4's on all of maxx trucks. i can provide setup info if you need it.

the problem with the powerstrokes is that i dont have any were to mount 2 shocks on each wheel.

stampy 09.05.2005 12:10 AM

Rcbros 09.05.2005 12:55 AM

Then u want these http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...ore/10120.html

thats alot for 4 shocks :C: are they special in any way or are they just plane threaded shocks. i can get the 4 msr5's for about that much witch ones are better msr5's or those

Rcbros 09.05.2005 01:11 AM

The UE shocks will hold a full e-maxx or t-maxx up with only 4 shocks. Not to mention they don't leak and don't have weak shafts.

Great shocks. IMO 100 times better then the piggybacks.

Link doesn't work.

There basically a buggy shock with some extras. I see ofna in the URL so they might be it. Get me a working link and I'll check them out.

i have some powerstrokes and you dont really need all 8. the 4 with the right springs work great.

coolhandcountry 09.11.2005 09:16 PM

I can say that the UEs seem to be a real good shock. I can't say if they are better than the msr 4 or 5. I would buy another set of the UEs. Mad truck handle fantastic. I can't believe how well it does. 14lb maxx 7 feet in air lands like on pillows. That is what I call sweet.

stampy 09.11.2005 11:08 PM

well i bought my self some powerstrokes on ebay

ebay shocks

just have to figure out a way to mount a shock and the dampener thing on each wheel :C:

dont know why the the links arent working but heres a pic
