New NEU Motors?

Been reading that Neu motors now have screw on the endbell. Is this the only difference and is it relevant to cars or just planes?

My 1515/1y had screws on the endbell and a flat spot on the shaft straight from the factory.

So can you still dissassemble the motor if your motor doesn't have the screws?
