Any Prelim info on gearing for E-Revo?

I am looking to pick up an E-Revo and combine it with a 4S or 6S brushless setup. What I am wondering is assuming a KV range (4S vs 6S) of 2700KV (4S) to 2000KV (6s), what pinions should be purchased for each of the setups?

Curious if anyone else has found out this info.

you are looking at a lot of RPMs with the battery/motor pkgs if you did this you would need to get a quality motor(not a Feigao) and you will excessive wear on your drivetrain (diffs being the weaklink)

Basing this off on what Castle is recommending for motors (2200KV for 6S), it will be a Neu of course.

No problem going to a slower motor though.

the 1515/1y is a 2200kv motor and with 5s it is out of control, Look for a post from DickyT

azjc is correct 5s on 2200 Kv will be extremely powerful! I would recommend 4s on 2200Kv (Neu 1515/1Y) and 6s on 1700Kv (Neu 1515/2.5D). A lot people also run only 5s on the 1515/2.5D to protect their drivetrain from the power.

If it helps, the Erevo uses the exact same tranny ratio and diff ratio as the new emaxx, so that should help people decide on what motor/gearing a little.
