Medusa V2 36-60 "VS" Align 600XL

Im debating on what one I should get. They both look great but the medusa looks a little better from my point of view. I will be using it in a Cen Matrix TR Arena Race Edition truggy along with a MM ESC on 5s lipo. Here they are...

Medusa V2 Afterburner Motors- http://www.medusaproducts.com/motors/036-V2.htm

Align 600XL- http://cgi.ebay.com/ALIGN-TREX-600-6...QQcmdZViewItem

I want the most power for the money and these to look to be what im aiming for.

I have had both, get the medusa. You will want the 2000kv model, as that will be the best kv to run on 5s. The align motor has a lower kv, and runs better on 6s. I compared the 1500kv medusa to the 1600kv align, both on 6s, and the medusa is better. It spins up faster, produced higher speeds with the same gearing, despite being lower kv, and ran cooler. I would buy another medusa, and may do that for my hyper truggy.

Funny!

I am not trying to say that the align is a bad motor, just the hybrid design does not seem to offer much benefit in a car. The added weight of the stator slows the response, and I did not see much extra torque. Maybe I should have geared it higher, but the temps indicated I was where I needed to be.

The medusa has the same internal design as the neu and plett. Maybe the components are cheaper? It seems to be a well made motor, and has plenty of power. I am very happy with the 1500kv 60 v2 motor in the buggy, and it seems effecient, 20mins+ with a flightpower 2170 6s 25c lipo seems good to me.

Ya I hope the 36-60 2000kv afterburner V2 will get the job done nicely.
